Eletronic Use in Kids Club?

Hello everyone!

I am set to sail for the first time in May on the Magic with just myself and my 6 year old daughter

I have two questions:

what is the electronic usage policy in the kids club; are children allowed unrestricted access to cell phones and tablets while in the club?

Second question: can anyone confirm if there are pornograohy blockers on board the ship?

I am concerned about leaving my daughter in the club if children are allowed unrestricted access to phones/tablets (she won't play and engage but instead just watch someone tap on their device). And I'm also concerned if there is no restrictions to access to adult material.

Maybe I am being paranoid, but I don't want to spend so much money to have her spend time looking at a tablet over someone's shoulder!

To access non-Disney websites while on the ship, kids would need to have an internet plan. I think full web access is in only the most expensive plan option. It is unlikely parents would buy 3-10 year olds a plan to use in the kids’ club.

I’m going to agree with @Mommb that I think you’re being overly concerned. Internet access is both expensive and not great on the ships. Is it possible that your daughter might sit and watch someone’s screen and see something you don’t want her to while she’s in the club? Yes, I guess that’s possible. But I think it would be extraordinarily unlikely. Be aware that some of the activities in the clubs are tablet-based, so she still might be interacting with screens.

In secure spaces for obvious reasons there are policies in place for devices especially since photography is not allowed when the kids are in secure programming and we store it for the kids when they're in here with us to use when they request it like contacting their family but again this is right next to a counselor. Disney has a very strong content filter on the internet on board which even applies to crew on their own time believe it or not but we hear guests finding creative ways around it all the time.
