I am purchasing tickets separately from my room package (POFG), will I still be able to use early entry as a resort guest?

Yes, you just need to show your resort ID.

Early entry is available to all guests at Disney resorts, whether they're on a package or not. You won't have a problem at all.

Check the park hours on this site. Early entry occurs in different parks on different days of the week. Some days, certain parks are open for 3 hours after closing. That's why Disney changed the name from Early Entry to Extra Magic Hours.
