Our Target has the white DSi with 5 pre-installed titles (Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Brain Age Express: Sudoku, Brain Age Express: Math, Clubhouse Games Express: Card Classics, and Photo Clock) on clearance for $118.98. :)

Wow! I wish I lived closer I would run over to get one! I wonder why they are in clearance?

In my expierence it is a sign that Nintendo is about to release the next edition.

It has been rumored to be released later this year.

For that price I would snap it up too!!!! even if the rumors are true not a sucker like the guy in this article states.

Groan! Where was that deal when I was looking for one for my daughter for Christmas? I ordered a black one for her - console only - for $169.00. I didn't want the white - she had a white DS, and I ended up buying her Nintendog stickers for it because it looked so grubby! However, for the sake of a $50 saving I would have bought the white and gone the sticker/ silicone skin route to prevent or hide the grubbies!

She would have loved the Brain Age games, especially Sudoku! Goodness, even if she never played the pre-loaded games, I would still have saved $50!

I need a DS, my sons DS is on its' deathbed but he says that he doesn't want a DSi because it won't play gameboy games. Ugh!

The only reason it's on clearance is because it's the bundle pack and since it was a LTO things it's discontinued. I haven't heard anything yet about a new one being released.

You may be right Target does clearance out this discontinued but Nintendo is very strick on their game systems and you may not have heard of it but it is coming.

I could post dozen more but no need to.

Just went to our Target b/c we promised our boys we would get them each a ds for their birthday. No luck----they didn't have any bundles there!! Maybe I will try another Target this week. I would love to snag one (or two) for $118!!!

My DD is saving her money for one, but i would hate to take her over there and get her hopes up, then they won't have one on clearance. Maybe i can sneak over with out her tomorrow!

Is there a big difference between the DS and the DSi? My dd has a DS which is doing fine, but wants a DSi... I don't get the big difference???:confused3

You are correct, there is another DSi coming out.. It will be released in July. It will have a bigger screen is what I heard.

Just called a Target by our house. They have the Brain Age Bundle DSi for $170. Is that a good deal??

DSI has a camera build in and I think there are some more things but I'm not sure.

Why couldn't they have just made the current DSi with a bigger screen. I hate that every year they come out with bigger and better after I have already bought it.

That is the regular price of the DSi, so the only deal you get with that price is the preloaded games. Not all Targets clearance the same merchandise, and if they do, its not always on the same markdown schedule as another one.

Has anyone else found this clearanced at their Target yet? Our store tends to clearance toward the end of everyone elses so I don't want to waste too many trips over before (if) they do.:thumbsup2

It also has a bigger screen, a sd slot, and is brighter, so not as hard on your eyes.

DD12 just got one for Christmas and I swear that she is having so much fun with all the non-gaming functions (camera, internet browsing etc) that I think she's forgotten that its primary purpose is video-gaming.

I think you can also play music that's saved on the SD card.

We haven't put it to the test yet but I think the DSi will be great when travelling with kids - one gadget that will take photos, browse the internet, play games AND music too! Otherwise, I'd have to pack a camera, a netbook, a DS and the iPod and the accompanying chargers! We will have the opportunity to test it when we travel in March - I'll post my observations then

It's still $169 at my Target. I'm going to check again tomarrow a.m. It was weird though that the shelf tag was pulled next to the bundle pack and the guy acted funny when I asked him to scan it. It still scanned $169 and he wouldn't tell me if it was going on clearance. Makes me wonder. I'd like to buy one and put it away for my son's birthday.
