Just when you thought you had heard all of the horror stories possible about driving around Atlanta (I-75). They start a repaving project:
An 8.7-mile section of I-75 from the I-285 interchange to just south of the merger with I-675 will be milled out and repaved during nights and weekends. It will also involve either one or two lanes being closed during the work periods.
Last night on the news they said they are urging people to use I675 as an alternate route----I've never used it but might try it on my next trip to FL (week after next).
Complete story: http://www.accessatlanta.com/ajc/metro/0802/14roadwork.html
For more info on I75 construction (cause that ain't it folks) go to the GA DOT website
