"Dream Weavers" September 1, 2011

Hello everyone!! I am sailing with my two kids on this cruise, they will be daughter (9) and son (10). My husband unfortunately wont be able to go with us so I am a little nervous about cruising with them by myself for the first time. We are so excited though!! Now just to get a hotel booked the night before the cruise and figure out what to do on Nassau! Looking forward to chatting with everyone in preparation for the cruise!

Hello and welcome! I am sure that you will be fine with your son and daughter on your own! I am also thinking about what we will do in Nassau, I will be with my daughter who is 15.

Time to get that final payment in. Only 92 days to go!!!

Welcome Kim, I'm sure you'll make out fine. Is this your first cruise? We are booking the night before at the Port, I think the Comfort Suites had the best deal right now. Are you driving or flying in?

I will most likely just drive down.

Does anyone know if there is a cigar store not to far off the boat?

I would love to get my dad some cigars as a souvenier.

There is a place called Graycliff (I think) We toured it during our wedding cruise. There was a high chair in the smoking palor! LOL

It was really cool to see though!

Welcome! I have a DS 11 and a DD 10. Our kids are about the same ages. Maybe we will bump into you in the kids club. Good luck traveling on your own. I would think it would be easier on a cruise than at WDW.

Greetings fellow "Dream Weavers", i think my family will get off in Nassau to get another Harley shirt and to do a quick walk around so the two kids (adults) can say "been there, done that". For all you folks with wee youngins i think you need to meet up ASAP so that every morning when you dump (escort) your kids to the various "kid's clubs" you could bond together and enjoy the cruise with a new found friend. I believe once your little ones experience the kid's clubs on the Dream you will be hard pressed to get them to hang around with you. Take advantage of the free time your kids will be in great hands.

AHHHH, sitting at work listening to "Carousel of Progress" on Disney World radio from LIVE 365 internet radio.:surfweb: Just wanted to spread the "Dream":cool1:

We just finally saw Carousel of Progress for the first time last year, and I LOVED it! I didn't even think to check for Disney stations on Live 365. I'm there!

DH and I already said DD is going to want nothing to do with us. We also decided to put DS in the nursery for some portion of the days otherwise I will want to pull my hair out as much as I love him he is a trial LOL.

I am so excited about this trip. In 80 days I will be at AKV so I am ready.

Hello Everyone!

I'm new to the cruise boards. DH and I will be cruising with you. We are doing a few nights at WDW with DD3 and DS1 and the grandparents. They will be keeping the kids at WDW while we are on DCL. (Still not sure how we talked them into this!)

I have been looking at trip reports all day and I am beyond excited!

Hello Jenifred and welcome... you are in good company as we are all excited beyond belief!!:dance3::dance3:

Welcome aboard! If you are on f/b we have a private group going there, link is in the first thread.

Just did a quick count from page 1 of all the "Dream Weavers" and found at least 68 in our group (includes children):cool1:. Are we still a group?:confused3 Or maybe a gang?:confused3 How about just plain crazy? Disney should give us our own hall way on the ship.:yay:

I also was looking at page one! lol! But I was trying to get an idea for FE participants

I counted 23 individuals in 6 cabins:banana:

BTW My cabin number is going to be 6669, we can add that to the first page:goodvibes

Debbie, I have to update the first post, I think we have a few other 'newbies' that I've not gotten to.

I'm a bit overwhelmed with my summer courses (I thought Anatomy & Physiology was going to be hard, piece of cake compared with my Physch class and composition, since I haven't 'done English stuff' since high school which was a very LONG time ago)!
