So we are booked on the Dream in rooms 10012 and 10014. It's the first cruise for everyone going. How is this location? What should we know? I've been reading threads and the info here but it seems like there is so much to know!

i see u have 260 posts....theoretically on other boards sooooooo...

WELCOME!!!

there IS a lot to know but keep in mind that people used to go on cruises LOOOOOOOONG before the internet made everyone information junkies...its easy, really.

Pay.
Show Up.
Get On.
Enjoy.

all this other stuff is extra...something to consider before u go....the best thing to know is to check the daily Navigators and that you will not be able to do it all.....

have a great time!!!!

I see you have booked connecting cabins. :thumbsup2
Did you know most balconies connect on other decks too?
Problem is, not all veranda partitions are operable on deck 10.
This can be seen in the linked photos below.

The deck 10 verandas connect in pairs, and not at all under the bumpouts, due to structural partitions supporting deck 11 overhang. You are just aft of the forward bumpout. My research suggests your two balconies do not connect. Did you specifically ask for connecting balconies? Do you care?

Deck 10 does have a large overhang. Some love it, others not so much. It will provide more protection from weather and sun.

Heavier structural steel located every other cabin pair.

Look for mirror image cabins 10512 & 10514.

Also many report noise from the pool deck and such above when staying in deck 10 cabins. But you are forward and under other cabins, so that shouldn't be an issue.

What month/year are you sailing?

Welcome and enjoy :)

Thanks everyone!

We don't mind that the verandahs don't connect and we think the overhang sounds great.

We are going in May and while we are WDW veterans with many, many trips this is our first time on a cruise so as a planner it's fun to start the research process again.
