Hello!

I was wondering if this situation would be possible:

Let's say someone was staying at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and they decided that the resort was not for them. Would they be able to ask for a refund and go stay at the Polynesian without being charged any cancellation fees or such things?

Thank you!!

Assuming request was made at or after check-in:
1) There would be no cancellation fees.
2) As for refund, it all depends upon the rate and package.
. . . usually resort changes go at Rack Rate, not discounted rates
. . . any package at the first may not be honored at the second
3) In any case, as long as there is a room, you can move.
4) Price is just another matter.

Well a few years ago my family and I had a Sugar Loaf - Club Level reservation at the Grand Floridian, however we decided to call CRO and switch it for a Contemporary - Atrium Club reservation and we weren't charged anything extra for switching resorts. Although I have a feeling the OP is asking about doing this after checking into the Grand Floridian.

Thank you for the response!
Yes, I was referring to down-grading the reservation after checking in.
