Double stroller as wheelchair?

Dh & I are taking our three year old twin boys to WDW in a few weeks. Both of our little guys are on the autism spectrum and use our double stroller as a safe spot when they feel overwhelmed in crowds. Can a stroller as wheelchair sticker be given to a double stroller or should we bring two single strollers?

You sure can! The side by side seem to fit better in the lines than the front and back.

As long as the double stroller fits in the standard dimensions for wheelchair accessibility you are good -- 30 inches wide by 48 inches long. Most side-by-sides doubles are fine. Front-to-back doubles may be too long and have trouble maneuvering through the switchback queues, and also would be too long to park in the wheelchair seating areas, meaning you would have to leave it outside any shows.

Enjoy your vacation!

As was already mentioned, a double side by side stroller won't be an issue
Before making your final decision, you might want to consider a couple of other things:

- are they used to sitting next to each other for long periods of time in the double stroller? If not, you will want to get them used to it.

- a double stroller does make it possible for one person to push both children. That would be really nice if you are alone at all with the children.

- what will you do if one is having a good day, going on attractions, etc. and the other is not doing so well or needs a break? With only one stroller, you would have to decide which child stays in the stroller and which goes without.

- if you are going to be using the WDW buses, the double would be more bulky , but possibly easier to hold on the bus than 2 separate strollers.

-some people have had good results with devices that attach 2 umbrella strollers together. They seem to work best with children pretty similar in size and weight.

There are no wrong answers - just wanted to give you some more things to consider.

to OP reread the things Sue said in her post anything that you decide for your family is correct for you. just make sure you make your plans based on all things considered. each of her points is good to think about esp with twins

Those are some really good points to think about. Thanks!
