Does gratuity get added with 6 or more at a table?

I saw a recent thread about tips..I have a question and didn't want to take over her thread We are a family of 7, youngest is two. We are eating at two character meals(CM and 1900 PF). I think I remember reading something that a table of 6 or more will have 18% gratuity added to their bill. Is this true? And is it a table of 6 or is it less? In NY 18% gets added with 7 or more. It doesn't bother me I just want to know

At WDW it's party of 6 or more, including infants and toddlers, automatic 18%.
