Does everybody else wear their Disney "fashions" to WDW?

I've been shopping every week at the Disney Store for our Disney wear to get ready for our trip in May. Almost all of it is for my DD age 2 1/2. My DS age 8 1/2 won't wear it. She's got her Arial and Dalmatians swimsuits (& Ariel Sandals). Plus all her other shorts/shirts/dresses from Disney store. I even ordered myself a Mickey swim suit. Hope I don't look too peculiar when I wear it here at the Jersey shore!
Does everybody else gear up for their trip this way too?

~Valerie :D

When the wife and I go, we wear our garb with pride. We wear our Disney polo shirts or t-shirts
(not loud prints but laid back). Must of our clothes are Resort items, some shows and attractions, and a couple of characters. Feel free to enjoy yourself it's WDW. Have fun.

So why not have fun!!Also we seen alot of family's dressed the same! It's a good idea in case anyone gets lost!! Have Fun!! ;)

I have a pair of mickey earrings that I put it the day we start our trip and I wear them until we get back home. :) :)

I work in a pretty casual dress place..so we can wear jeans and t-shirts and shorts in summer..it is fun to go to work in shorts all the time. Of course I wear a lot of Disney wear and WDW items...they are always anxious to see my new shirts when I get back as they know I increase my wardrobe each trip. You are in very good company with your Disney attire..have a fun trip :D :D :D :D :D

When we visit WDW, our daughter who is an elementary school teacher, makes sure to wear her "Disney Flair." On our last visit, for 7 days, all of her clothing was Disney, including her beach flip-flops!

Of course everyone wears their Disney clothes to wdw. I've already bought a new pair of pjs & a shirt for our trip this summer. I'm lucky, I have a home based child care business & can wear my Disney clothes all year 'round. The kids love seeing me in Pooh, etc & half the time they're wearing Disney character clothes too.

I never make a trip to WDW without my trusty "Peace, Love and Mickey Mouse" denim baseball cap!! ;)

Disney stuff makes the best "touring" clothes by far! I purchased t-shirts in advance of our trip last year with the millenium theme on it... very cool and we love them (about worn out!). This year we have alot of clothes from our last trip that will be going with us... and I also ordered some Bambi denim shorts for myself (which fit great by the way!). We will purchase lots while there too. Half of my DD and DH's wardrobe is Disney stuff! LOL :D I also ordered Mickey Mouse beach towels this year as we decided we were tired of little towels and wanted the real thing - nothing but Mickey would do!

Gotta love the mouse.

I purchased a "cheap thrill" at Downtown Disney on my last trip- Mickey shaped hairclips! They were less than a dollar apiece. Before I took them to the counter I asked my BF if he would be embarassed by my wearing them and he said "no- as long as you only wear them at Disney where you'll fit in." Well I have worn them out with him a few times since we've come home and he hasn't said anything. It could be because we are both suffering Florida withdrawal here in Michigan's near-arctic conditions, and whenever we get a little bored we can talk at great length about our wonderful trip and dream of a speedy return to sunny central Florida.... ahhhh!

I must confess....have a b-i-g secret. When you go into my closet and look at my t-shirts...you will find DISNEY!!!! At the end of last years trip I was stocking up for this years.
Yep, I have the disney hairclips, barrettes, earrings, necklaces, backpacks, insulated cups, luggage tags, hats...heck! Disney should be paying me, I'm a walking billboard!
So, don't worry about looking silly, nobody will be looking at you; I will divert their attention!

(We went to Vegas-my souvineer? A Mickey T from the DS! I asked my dh to stop me before I became that "weird lady with all the Mickey stuff" but I think it's too late!) <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz">

Better stock up on the adult clothes at the parks since the stores are no longer carrying anything adult except for sleepwear. I have heard that enough people are making noise about it and that hopefully they are reconsidering. Keep your fingers crossed because things are cheaper at the Disney Stores (they have sales) than at the parks.

For your older DD - check the Disney pattern. It should not be too babyish...

My DS who is 9 will wear a Bugs Life dark green sweatshirt, a navy blue t-shirt with Mickey playing soccer, and a baseball cap with a Disney character on it.
He's more into the Disney pins.

Once at WDW - your DD may change her mind.
Good to pack a few Character items.

have fun

Agree with everyone! I too have collected more and more disney items over time and love to get into the disney spirit and let my inner child out. So much fun to have a family theme- the last time there we all wore Pooh on one of our MK days. My goal this year is dress the family (DH, DDs ages 2.2 and 5) in disney garb the entire trip. Luckily my girls are disney nuts and still young enough to comply so I will enjoy it while I can.

Of course, AK day must have safari colors!

Me Too!!! I have tons of Disney t-shirts. I buy new ones every trip, and wear a different one every day. Some of mine are really old, but they look new. People stop me all the time and ask me where I bought them. I also have a collection of Disney gold charms and wear them, along with bracelets, earrings, rings. My socks are, of course, Disney also. When I'm there I love to wear all Mickey stuff and why not?? If you can't wear it there, where?? Although I have to confess I wear Disney stuff almost everyday. People have come to expect it of me. My kids are waiting for ears to grow out of the top of my head. LOL!!! Oh Well, I enjoy it, and it definetly has become my trademark!

Sale at The Disney Store as we speak!! For DC members it is an extra 20% off. I think you have to print the coupon off the web site.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I wear my Disney clothes (of which I have plenty) at home. At DW, I go with a tip I read, don't know where. I always wear things that identify where I'm from, my DS's colleges, school I teach at, get the idea? It's really fun-last trip I met someone from my homeown who used to work at the school I teach at. I've struck up many a conversation this way.

Not wear Disney gear while at WDW...who would be soooooooooooooo silly to not do that??!! :D My DH won't wear any but definitely supports me doing so!! Let me tell you....I've lost it this year! I've got a different TIGGER watch for every 2 days we're going to be there! We're there for 9 days and spending 6 days in WDW and 2 in Universal. I've got 4 TIGGER watches that I can wear for my time in Disney!! (am I gone or what????? ) I've also got about 7 different TIGGER shirts I can wear! (HI MY NAME IS DENISE....HI DENISE....AND I'M A TIGGER-COHOLIC!!) I also have a Princess Jasmin shirt that I take down off of my wall for Disney trips and Disney trips only!!!!!! I stopped wearing the shirt back in 93 so it would last longer. It hangs on my wall with all my other Disney stuff and comes down for trips only! You've GOT to sport your Disney gear while in the World! I sport my gear ALL the time...my crew at work will tell you...if Denise isn't wearing something Tigger everyday...SOMETHING IS WRONG!! It's either Tigger socks, watches, shirts, buttons...something, but it's Tigger!!! ;)

IT'S ALL ABOUT DISNEY!!

REMEMBER THE MAGIC!!!

OK everyone, I think my 8 1/2 year old DS is finally in the Disney spirit. He really wants a Mickey watch to wear (he saw one at the Disney Store for $16 - might make a nice surprise in his Easter basket!). And, he is planning on making a Mickey out of sculpy clay to wear around his neck. I've also talked to him about beginning a pin collection (he's big on collecting things!), and wearing the pins. I even think he already has a Dalmlatian pin from long ago.

Now to get DH to sport something Disney ;)

OH MY! I just did a Spring Clean of the closet and unearthed all kinds of Disney clothing that I save for each trip. And dare I admit, when I was by a Dsiney Outlet in California recently i bought WAY to much for all the participants in our next Grand Gathering!! I love to dress for WDW! (I'm not sure my brother-in-law will, however!) ha!

So I say, keep it up!
