I will repeat all my previous thoughts. THE PRICE OF A CHILDS MEAL IS WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY TO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT THEY EAT!!!! I don't really care what a few of you seem to think. I feel not one ounce of regret for saying my three year old was two. I'm not impressed with anyones moral judgments on the topic. Unless you are Mother Theresa your judgement means NOTHING!! I only wish I could pass her off as two when we go in March. Who knows maybe I could????? This board never fails for a good laugh.

While morality might mean nothing to you, it means a lot to the rest of us. In addition, lying about your child's age in order to pay a cheaper price is not only immoral, but illegal. Get caught, and you will be escorted out of the Magic Kingdom. I don't know anyone who could continue to be so smug and proud in that situation.

Ahh but the OP would still be happy that she save 5.95 or whatever the price may be! :sad2:

You are right. The Disney Police would have handcuffed me and taken me out. I would have probably faced some serious jail time. I guess I could have thought about my evil deed in prison. How do you feel about last years mug being used this year?? Should I not have used it??? I'm now thinking I should call Disney and turn myself in.

So let me understand. You ask for opinions, and then promptly get them, mostly of the same underlying theme (i.e., lying and/or stealing is wrong). Then you proceed to invalidate them because you 'don't feel once ounce of regret' for saying your three year old was two, and that the other posters aren't Mother Threresa? ....

Interesting approach! *ding*, popcorn:: is done. Have some, DisneyMommyMichelle!

You're right about one thing, though. This board never fails for a good laugh, and you helped provide it tonight.

Not quite police, just security. :)

or is anyone else starting to get a littled frightened? I'm in total agreement with the vast majority of the posters here (lying = bad)......It's just a little disheartening to hear someone going on about how proud they are of cheating. Don't get it.

You know what--and YES, I know you could care less about my opinion-- I feel sorry for your daughter. What a sad and sorry example you are setting for her. Regardless of what you believe, honesty is not optional in this life, plain and simple. Integrity is not a 'pick and choose' proposition when it suits you.

I am not Mother Teresa, but I am well aware that my actions speak volumes to my children.

I hope you will learn the same before your daughter begins to follow your lead.

Have you seen the comment that Disney is committing a "sin" for the prices they charge (as the OP stated on a thread on the resorts board). Yet, cheating on the OP's part if perfectly okay.

No they are not weird. I work hard for my money. I love Disney but I will voice my concern over the price of food. If you think the value is great than you must be loaded. The average person I believe would agree the price of the food is VERY!!!!! expensive. People laugh in the food line when you joke about the price of things. I do choose to eat at some of the nicer places but again the price is expensive.
I agree but then again I think grocery stores are robbing us these days. lol My gosh I feel so defeated when I grocery shop. I feel like I come home with nothing after spending $100. Like others have said try the dining plan, we will never go again without it. My dh is the only one in our family of 5 that works so we are by no means rich but we don't complain about the prices at DW we just enjoy ourselves and pay cash for everything. If we can't afford it we don't go. We now what we are getting into and don't sweat it while we are there.

This is just a thought. I'm thinking Disney probably would let this serious crime slide. It may be wishful thinking but They probably have bigger issues to deal with. Call me crazy but it's a thought. Now how would security be called in on this. Would it be like a stake out?? Would they take her into a room and question her? She is only three by two months. Maybe thay have decoys set up looking for three year olds posing as two year olds???

I saw that post as well.........

We're leaving tomorrow, so I'm all over this board tonight. Always looking for one more helpful hint! I'm serious when I say it's disheartening to read some of these posts. As so many posters said before, we're one of those families that save long and hard to go to Disney every 2-4 years. My kids are teenagers now, and I'd be horrified if they thought something like lying about your age was "OK." I've never understood how some people can think that some lies are acceptable, and others aren't. (And I'm not meaning to sound "holier than thou." I've got plenty of other bad traits - lying just doesn't happen to be one of them!!!!)

No, you're missing the point. Of course, there is a good chance that your lies will go unnoticed, but if someone happens to catch on, you will either be escorted out of the park by security or the manager will require you to pay full price. If you refused, then security would be called definitely.

"TnKrBeLlA012", I am a former CM, and I have many good friends who work security at WDW. They have often escorted out people who have been acting inappropriately, shoplifting, or stealing from restaurants. Of course they have situations that are more pressing, but if you are caught, you will be escorted out. I saw it happen when I was saying goodnight to the security officers one evening after my shift.

Nothing will happen to your daughter. CM's have more concern for children than to embarrass her because of her parent's actions. They will simply, and quietly inform you that you will have to leave. Unless you make a scene, there wouldn't be one. No interrogations.

In addition, although I know you don't care, I would just like to say that "getting caught" isn't what makes it wrong. Simply because there's a good chance CM's might not know, *you* know, and worse, your *daughter* knows.

Just keep it up OP b/c it's people like you that keep the prices going up...what will you do then??? Tell your 4 yr old to crawl around and say she's 2???

Let me end this post. It takes so little for people to argue and fuel a post. I will tell you I have a 21 and a 19 year old. One is in Nursing School and the other a Buisness major. No drugs, sex, drinking, police trouble or depression problems. They have never stole and are the nicest girls you would meet. The 21 year old works at a hospital and a dentist office. Both places love her. They are hard workers. I sacrificed alot for them and raised them in a very protective environment. They are probably better than alot of other people's children I have seen. The same ones who type away on this site. Me telling Disney my three year old is two proves nothing. I will keep doing exactly the same thing I have always done and hope this one turns out as great as the other two. Again anyone of you could only pray you had kids like mine!! Don't judge. Worry about you and your own. Worry about what you will bring out into society. Some of the "best parents" have the worst kids. Keep that in mind!

Or maybe they're just lying to you about all that? See why honesty is so important? If not, you're going to have to watch Pinocchio, because my friends are ready to go out now and I'm signing off. :)

I am by no means the 'best parent' anywhere-- and I never claimed to be. I simply said that my actions are an example to my children. Words mean little. I can't expect them to show integrity if I don't show it myself.

Lies are lies-period. Justify your choices however your conscience sees fit.

I am just amazed that you can post about how you have no guilt or remorse about lying and (yes) stealing and then criticize everyone else. If you didn't want our opinions, you should have simply kept your little deceptive money-saving 'achievement' to yourself.

By the way, don't worry about my kids. They're just fine, they know how old they are and how to tell the truth--at all times, not just when it suits them.
