We are trying to plan a Christmas trip in 2 yrs, but, we want to go the week the decorations are officially up...the further from Dec 25th, the better. We cannot find any info anywhere as to when the Christmas decorations and activities officially start. Has anyone been there right after Thanksgiving or the first week in December? Are the decorations up yet, or are they still putting them up?:drive:

The first week of December will have all of the decorations up. They go up in November.

We went the week after Thanksgiving one yer (left on Black Friday) and all the decorations were up and the crowds were not too bad.

By the day after Thanksgiving, everything will be up except for the tree in Magic Kingdom, which doesn't go up until after they film the Christmas parade, which is the first weekend in December.

You can also keep an eye on the closures/refurb schedule around that time of year. It usually tells you when rides will be closed for decorating. Then you will know about what time they will be doing it for the next year.

None of the rides have Christmas overlays put on them like at DL though.
