So, has anyone done this tour yet? Any insight/thoughts on it?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. I booked it yesterday and was trying to get a sense of the tour in general.

Thanks in advance.

I didn't know about this tour but am also interested now. I like the idea of the special drawing class but wonder if the parade viewing is the same as the Holiday Tour. I didn't think the view was anything great at all. I might take a chance and do this April 19th

I don't think it has started yet. I think the first date is April 6?

That might explain the silence....lol.....I thought it was just me.

Where did you see April 6th? I didn't see that when I looked at the site.

@RICH - I'm with you on the drawing thing....that's what got me interested to begin with...and you're probably right about the viewing area.

I'm not certain it is the 6th - I remember reading it starts in early April, and the 6th is the first date available to book online (although earlier dates could be sold out). But I do remember reading it starts in April :goodvibes

Edited to add: I found this but it says April 7th:

Thanks!! Guess we have to wait a little bit to see if anyone has any info they could share about their experience.

Honestly considering the other package to get you to watch the Parade in a special area this isn't a bad deal if you want that plus a cool little tour

Don't forget the pin also. I am guessing you also get some sort of baked good also

Love the pins....they didn't give any out when we did the other tour last year, so I'm glad that they're resuming that bonus.

As for the baked good....it'll probably be a cookie....that's what they served for the last tour we did. It was extremely large.

Anyway, can't wait for someone to report back on it.

I think I am going to do the one on April 19th. I will be sure to report back and give my opinion. We got a cake pop and a little cake and hot coco on the Holiday one. I thought it was great. We also received two any time LL but not expecting that at all on this one.

Looking forward to your report.

Have fun on your trip!!

I'm very interested in this tour! I don't currently have a trip planned in the near future so I look forward to hearing what people think about it.

I used to love the Holiday Tour, but after the 4th time, I didn't really get the value out of it that I had initially so I'm looking forward to something new and fun.

Tours are one of our favorite things to do, so we will be adding this to our list in December. If it is still available.

I will say that we were really disappointed at the seating options for the Holiday Tour parade viewing last year compared to previous years. We had zero room, as we were the last group to arrive, and sitting down on the concrete with a rope in your neck was not what we had hoped for. I hope they go back to chairs for parade viewing and return the seat cushions for Fantasmic / Blue Bayou dining packages. These little extras matter for us!

I just learned about this tour and am very interested. Usually I wouldn’t indulge in a tour (I’m frugal), but this will be a huge celebration trip for us and this tour would be a special treat.

We were at the parks a couple of times this week and there were a TON of groups with tour guides. It especially stood out in DCA where we rarely see guides/tours. To us, the guides looked less engaged with the guests. They were escorting guests from one attraction to another but weren't talking or providing interesting facts about the parks. The guides were also on their phones quite a bit- presumably to book the next ride. We saw more reserved benches lined up along the Magic Happens parade route. Some of the benches were in better locations than others. We saw one guide leave their group at the entrance of Blue Bayou, while another guide walked their group to a water front table.
