Ok first time staying onsite. Stayed at POP. We arrived and had a great experience....well to be short lived! Each day housekeeping came in and "cleaned". They never took out or garbage for 3 days. Are beds were somewhat made sometime made sometimes partially made with the top layer sheets thrown in a ball on top of bed. Then were was molding floor by the sink I am thinking it was black mold. Finally called and the manager came and fixed it. Now the room smelled like bleach. The top layer of bed one was missing and the other in a ball by the bed. Then finally they took all the top layers and never replaced them had 2 sheets that's all for the rest of our stay. We all have been so sick for the last 3 days not sure if it is from the mold or we all got sick at the same time. Sorry but will never stay at this property again! Motel 6 had better room service!

We stayed at POR and we noticed our room was not very clean at all. The bathroom was just gross.

We tell the manager and we got a free night, but we won't go back to that resort.

We stayed at POR royal rooms in nov 2012 and oct 2013 and were incredibly pleased by mouse keeping.

I hate to say it but I think this is just another byproduct of corporate America trying to save a nickel to please stockholders.

I stayed at POFQ and the room was in great shape but there was so much dust on the table behind the alarm and TV I could make dust bunnies by running my finger across it. Everything else was clean, I think the housekeepers just don't have the time to deep clean.

I live in Las Vegas and we suffer from the same problems, it amazes me companies will spend several billion dollars to build a gorgeous casino and then not hire enough staff to keep the place clean. I can't tell you how many times I've walked into a casino bathroom that has stunning marble and molding from floor to ceiling only to walk out because every stall was filthy. :confused3 It makes no sense.

I think with as many housekeepers as Disney has you are bound to have a few that do a crappy job. I'm at POR now and have been very pleased with housekeeping.

We've always had excellent housekeeping at Disney resorts, especially at POP. The only time they don't clean is when we're occupying the room all day and even then they will knock and ask for our trash and give us extra towels and whatnot. If I was gone from the room all day and came home to a filthy room and sheets balled on top of the bed, you can bet I would complain.

We too have never a problem at the resorts we usually stay; POR, BCV, Boardwalk. Even the one time we stayed at POP was excellent. Trust me DW would let management know if we had any kind of housekeeping issue. :)

I love Disney and we go often - but I was soooooo disappointed with the upkeep of POFQ this last trip.
The linoleum in the elevator was peeling up from the floor the whole stay. And, the garbage can next to the elevator was also overflowing and smelled like a dirty diaper - the whole stay! It was soooo bad you cld smell it 200 feet away. The staff's uniforms looked dirty and threadbare and they now have guests pick out their bakery in the food court instead of the employees handing them out! Well, unsupervised children and adults were picking out muffins, cookies, etc. and then changing their mind and putting them back!
It was so sad and disappointing! I just can't comprehend Disney building all these new resorts when they are cutting back on maintenance and customer service and employee pride in the ones they have.

What did they say when you complained about this?

I hate to hear you had a bad experience! That sounds completely unacceptable! We stayed at Pop in August 2012 and our room was immaculate every afternoon when we came "home" from the parks. We are returning to Pop next month and I hope to have a good experience again.

Your "black mold" was probaby just mildew, especially if it was by the sink. Not stachybotris. To clean mildew, you need to use bleach.

Wow....the Mousekeeper sure dropped the ball leaving sheets balled up and not taking the trash out...we just got back from a 13 night stay at Pop (building 4 facing the lake) and had an amazing mousekeeper. There were a couple days when we put the privacy please on the door and came back to a bag of towels, soap etc on the door and a message on our phone asking if we wanted the trash and dirty towels removed to just call housekeeping.
