Discounts at Fort Wilderness Campsites?

Hi. I have searched and not found a definitive answer on whether there are ever any discounts on the campsites. We are probably gonna buy a travel trailer in the next couple of months :cool1: , and are thinking of taking it to the Fort early next June. Is there AAA discounts and how much of a discount is it. Also say for the 7 for 4 deal were the campsites included and are they ever included in pin codes or public discounts. Just trying to get my ducks in a row. :goodvibes Thanks

FW does have campsites discounts, but they are few and far between.

Discounts are utilized by Disney to attract customers during slow periods when the occupancy rate of a given type of accommodation is low (lots of empty rooms).

But, with that said FW has very few sites compared to other classes of hotel rooms on Disney property. If my memory serves me right, there are about 800 campsites vs. tens of thousands of rooms. You will get a discount or free dining at a hotel room long before you get it with a campsite.

But, as I said they are sometimes available. If you keep searching you may find one. Or, hire someone like Rhonda. A Disney specialist travel agent can keep looking for the discounts for you and make you life easier.

Thanjks for your information. That was kind of what I figured but I wanted to ask to be sure. Thanks.

We just spent 2 weeks at the Fort and used a AAA discount for a preferred site. Saved us about $100 to upgrade from the fullhookup site we had originally booked.

Campsites aren't included in the 7 for 4 deal or free dining (and rarely are). I also just got a 40% off PIN code, and come to find out you can't use that for campsites either.

As PPs have said, discounts for campsites are rare. :sad2:

For non Florida residents, (now don't start that AGAIN), AAA is your best bet for lower rates on campsites. For example, rates for tent/popup sites are $34 a night. Not too bad.
Your best chance for getting lower rates on campsites are going to be during the Value season which is:
Jan. thru mid Feb.
Aug. thru mid Nov.
(This excludes any holidays and weekends that fall around holidays, i.e., Presidents Day falls on a Monday, so the Sat. and Sun. before are part of the holiday weekend)
If you can visit during this time, you can get a better rate.
