Disability question

I was wondering if any of you know the answer to this. If a man is drawing disability and fathers a child will that child get benefits? This man has two children that are drawing benefits but what if he has another?

If the ssdi recepient or the Mother of the child makes a claim, the third child will receive benefits. It may be the third child gets an equal share of what the other two get, splitting it three ways, but I'm not quite sure.

He gets a set amount and it's equally split among the children.

Actually that is only true if a certain percentage of the maximum amount of disability is paid out. It's something like 150 or so of the maximum the individual would be paid, I think, depending on the dollar amount of the maximum. In that case, it's split. If the % hasn't been reached, then more is paid out.

It's a little confusing, isn't it?
