I started a thread that I'm trying to make it as complete but I have no recent experience in the disability options at WDW and how they tie into the magicband.

I'm not really sure what to ask and I know DAS recently switched to magic bands. This is my best guess at questions I am trying to get a correct answer for:

- You get DAS at guest relations? (I'm going to link to a disboards thread and not go into detail what das it if they need more information).
- How do you use it when you get to an attraction?
- How do you know the time to return? (is this what happens?)
- I see mention of "wheelchair scooter" may only get a similar to standby wait for their return line, is that accurate and is there any other exceptions?
- how does fastpass+ change the experience?
- is there any way to use DAS for an offsite guest that does not have a magic band or is a band required?

- is there any other disability features or uses with a magic band?

In case someone here happens to also know this:

is child swap also tied into magic bands now?
does anyone now if Give kids the world village gives magicbands to visitors? I saw a post that said they needed to buy them.

I'm also going to edit this for a disabilities forum thread once I have better information, the full thread I started is here: http://www.disboards.com/threads/everything-you-need-to-know-about-magicbands.3481711/

@lovethattink was able to help in the other thread with this info so most questions are answered.

"I can help you about DAS. Guest services sets up the magic band for the DAS holder and his/her party. Anyone in the party can take the DAS holder's mb to an attraction to get a return time. Only one return time is allowed at a time. Upon the return, the DAS holder's mb must be scanned first. The light will turn blue alerting the cm of the DAS. After that, everyone's mb will turn the light green."

There is an up to date thread about DAS, how it works and how it works with Magicbsnds. This is a link to it.
http://www.disboards.com/threads/wd...15-digital-das-on-tickets-magicbands.3178976/

The first post is kept up to date. The thread was originally started in 2013 before DAS was rolled out, so all the other pages are conjecture about heat DAS would be and early experiences. The first post is all people should read.

Magicbands are not required to use DAS; it can be linked to any digital ticket media.

I would appreciate you NOT putting DAS information into your thread.
We work hard to keep the information on this board up to date, specifically in that thread I linked to and in post 6 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread.
You can find the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of this board or follow the link in my signature.
This board is where the information should be kept and managed.

I completely agree, I'm going to make a mention and directly link to that thread for anyone who finds mine and needs accurate disability information. I'm the wrong person to keep that up to date but was willing to try.

This is what appears in my thread, please let me know if you think anything should be altered

Q&A version: (post 1 in my thread)

Information specific to anyone with disabilities.

Everyone in the disabilities forum works hard to keep all information about being in disney with a disability up to date. The disability forum is the best place for information, questions and thing related to visiting with a disability.

This disability forum can be found at http://www.disboards.com/forums/disabilities.20/

The magic band specific thread on the subject can be found at http://www.disboards.com/threads/wd...15-digital-das-on-tickets-magicbands.3178976/

Bullet point version: (post 2 in my thread)

Guests with Disabilities:

The disabilities forum is the best place to find out, stay up to date and ask disability questions http://www.disboards.com/forums/disabilities.20/
their thread with the first post keep up to date on how it works with magic bands is at http://www.disboards.com/threads/wd...15-digital-das-on-tickets-magicbands.3178976/

Thank you.
Instead of posting the links to the WDW DAS thread, please post a link instead to the disABILITIES FAQs thread.

Because the WDW DAS thread was started a long time ago, I have been hoping to take the information from the first post in that thread and start a new thread.
Busy life though, so I am not sure when I will get it done. Once it is done, your link will go to a 'dead' thread. So, just linking to this board and the disABILITIES FAQs thread would be much better

I'm going to close this thread because all the disability related information is either in the disABILITIES FAQs thread or the specific DAS threads for WDW and Disneyland.

All of those threads are stuck near the top of this board. There is also a link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread.
