Hey all.. Thanks for all the wonderful information on this site... Can anyone comment on their waitlist experience when buying direct? I am looking at resales, but continue on the OKW waitlist... I'm told by my guide that OKW has quite a long list...
The lists vary by UY. If you are looking for a specific UY to match what you already have or because you've determined a particular one suits you based on your typical travel dates, then your guide s/b able to give a pretty good idea of how many people are ahead of you. Plus, if he's good, he could even estimate when you might get points based on how the recent past has gone, i.e., how fast names have been moved off the list via sales. If you are new to DVC and don't care about UY, then you might get your points faster as you'd be open to any points for any UY that come along. This would increase your chances of getting points more quickly.
