Dinner after vow renewal

We are planning a vow renewal for June, 2006 at Disney. I haven't yet gotten to talk to anyone at Fairtale Weddings--although I have left 3 messages. Someone is supposed to call me back today.

Anyway, my question is this - after the service and our cake and champagne, etc., I was thinking of the 5 of us (3 kids) going to the Castle for dinner. Is there any reason we can't go to dinner in whatever clothes we wear to the vow renewal service?

As long as you are not in a wedding dress and your DH isn't in a tux then you will have no problem eating at CRT. Disney does not allow guest to be in the parks in wedding attire unless your wedding is there and you have Disney escort.

That's funny! Almost like there is a "not too dressy" code for Disney. I won't be in a "wedding" dress per se, but probably a gown. Not sure on the tux though. DH may wear his dress blues, but the boys will probably have tuxes on.

Mommy Poppins,

My DW and I are also planning to renew our vows in June of 2006. We are also waiting for a call from Disney. Let us know how it goes for you. We are waiting for the price quotes and what not. We are also exploring having an outside source come in and have a quiet renewal on the beach at the Wilderness lodge. It will just be the two of us and one company I contacted said they have done them at WDW before.

Heard back from Gloria at Disney Weddings. I put a tentative hold on June 22, 2006 @ 5:00pm at Sunset Pointe! Our actual anniversary is April 22 so at least the day is the same!

Still tentative because if our friends decide they are not going, then my DH would rather go in April or May (less crowded, not as hot) even though we would have to pull the kids out of school. So, over the next week or so I need to confirm whether our friends are going or not and then finalize our hotel reservations. Gloria indicated I should make the resort arrangements and then call her with the booking number and she would confirm the date, etc. She said the balance of the intimate would need to be paid in full 30 days prior to the event.

She quoted me the 2005 price of $2,350 (for outside locations) and $3,200 for the wedding pavilion even though our renewal will be in 2006.

Wow, now I'm really excited!!!

Mommy Poppins what do you get for that money?? We are having our 25th anniv. in '06 & I would love to do something formal! Our wedding was a little rushed as we got married over my DH's Christmas break from school...both sets of parents were driving us nuts! I always feel like I "missed" something doing the wedding planning in a month! A VERY BUSY month!

poohlover, I believe it includes the following:

location
bouquet & boutineer
2 tier wedding cake
4 hour limousine service
champagne toast
personalized vow renewal website
soloist music (I believe it is a violinist)
photographer - includes 12 4x5 prints in a disney album

Not sure what else she said is included--that's just what I remember.
