DH, DD (5) and I just got back from a fantastic trip and wanted to share all of the delicious things we ate!

5/17-Arrival day
We were at MK by 9am after checking into our resort, we ate breakfast on our drive down and packed our lunch. By mid-day it was hot and we needed a refreshing pick me up so we stopped by Gaston's Tavern and tried a LeFou's Brew-I just ordered one for all three of us to share bc I wasnt sure if we would all like it, and boy let me tell you, it was soooooooooo yummy!!! Its basically frozen apple cider with a hint of tasted marshmallow and guava foam I believe-wasnt too sweet at all. We did not have dinner ressies for this night but I knew I wanted to try Columbia Harbor House after reading so many great reviews here so we gave it a shot for dinner and Im so glad we did! DH got the fried shrimp platter, I got the peppercorn salad and DD got the mac and cheese. Everyone was pleased. My salad was huge and very fresh, all the veggies were crisp and the dressing was good-I normally go for a vinaigrette and try to stay away from creamy dressings, but this was good and didnt seem too rich. DH's shrimp were tasty! I snuck one and it was crisp, not greasy and the shrimp were big! I didnt taste the mac and cheese-but it looked pretty standard, DD liked it as she finished the entire thing which rarely happens! For a snack later that night we had a bucket of freshly popped popcorn while we watched Celebrate the Magic and Wishes. A fantastic way to end our first night!

5/18-MK all day
We ate breakfast in the room and packed lunch as well. For dinner we had ressies for CRT which we were all super excited for! DD had an appt at BBB earlier that morning so she was dressed and ready for the castle and Cinderella. Meet and greet with Cinderella went well and she was very friendly and chatted with DD for a long time! The castle was just beautiful and it was truly such a special experice finally getting to sit on the inside of something I have always loved! Our server was attentive, never rushed us and always came back to refill our drinks. I ordered the steak and shrimp, DH got the pork and DD ordered chicken nuggets. My steak was great-tender, had a nice flavor and the mashed potatoes were fabulous! DH liked the pork but said my steak was better, and DD barely touched her nuggets-she was too distracted with the princesses. The princess interaction did feel a little rushed because we were seated on the upper level and thats the last spot the princesses came to, but they all still chatted with DD and took multiple pictures with her. Overall it was great, probably something we will not do again, but Im so glad we did it-I consider it a one time experience and was definitely worth the money-not because of the food but because my DD was completely in awe the entire time! For a snack later that night DH and I each ordered a LeFou's Brew and DD wanted another popcorn.

5/19-Epcot all day
We ate breakfast in the room, packed a lunch and had dinner ressies at Via Napoli. I was really looking forward to dinning here...Im 100% Italian, first generation American, my parents and my entire family were born in Italy, Ive been to Naples (my moms hometown) and have tasted true Neopolitan pizza, my parents are excellent cooks so my standards are high and I must say that Via Napoli was great! Was it the best pizza I ever had? No, but it was darn good! We ordered the Arancini as an app and they were good! The sauce tasted fresh and the Arancini were crisp and had good flavor. DH and I ordered a large Carciofi pizza and DD ordered a kids Margherita. The Carciofi was so good! Im a lover of all things artichoke so this pizza was right up my alley..the crust had just the right amount of char. DD loved her pizza as well, she ate almost the entire thing! I loved interacting with the waiters there and speaking Italian with them. They were super friendly. We really enjoyed this meal and will definitely be going back. For a snack later that night we stopped by Les Halles--DD wanted one of their chocolate filled donuts and we ordered a strawberry pastry. The donut was the best thing ever!! I snuck three bites from DD and wow, I wish I had ordered one too! The strawberry tart was good, but not near as good as the donut.

5/20-Hollywood Studios all day
We again ate breakfast in the room, packed lunch and had no dinner ressies. HS does not have the greatest options for food, so I was a little worried. We ended up at the Backlot...I ordered a Chicken Salad of some sort-I cant rememebr the exact name but it had a cilantro vinaigrette, DH had a burger and DD had chicken nuggets. My salad was fantastic! I picked off the chicken because Im pretty picky when it comes to chicken and this tasted kinda weird, but the actual salad and dressing were really good and so refreshing after a hot day! DH seemed to like his burger and DD wasnt too interested in her nuggets but what else is new! haha For a snack later on, we once again had popcorn while we watched Fantasmic. That show is truly wonderful and alone is worth the visit to HS.

5/21-MK all day
Breakfast in the room, packed a lunch and had no dinner ressies. After a couple of LeFou Brews for a snack that day we were all hungry for dinner. I think it was the heat that made me have a complete lapse in judgement and choose Pecos Bill for dinner. I should have known better-heck I DO know better, but I didnt listen to that voice in the back of my head telling me to keep walking. So there we are standing in a very long line at Pecos Bill, looking at a CM behind the register, taking orders who looked like he wanted to be anywere else but there, and I knew this wouldnt go well. But we continued to wait in line, finally placed our order and then it went downhill from there. I ordered three burger meals, one for each of us. We waited at the counter for our food for no joke 20 minutes. I watched all these people pick up their food who had ordered after us. I was trying to be patient at first and not let my increasing frustration show. Finally a CM came over and placed 5 burger meals infront of me and said heres your food. I only ordered three, she looked at the receipt and said we were charged for 5--well no wonder why our meal was like $50 something bucks-I knew when I paid the first guy that the price seemed kinda high but I was too scattered brained to really question it. So after about another 10 minutes of waiting for the manager, we were our refund for two additional burgers. We finally were able to sit down and eat. Our food was a little cold by that point but it wouldnt have mattered, the burgers really were pretty tasteless-and that was after visting the toppings bar. Oh well I should have skipped this place, I knew better and next time I will NOT be making that mistake again! For a snack later that night??? Yep you guessed it--popcorn!!! Its DD's favorite snack of all time.

5/22-MK all day
Breakfast in the room, packed a lunch and had dinner ressies at BOG!!! We were all so excited to eat here! Checked in about 10 mins before our ressie time and were being escorted in right around our ressie time so we didnt wait long at all. Disney really did a great job with BOG, all the rooms are beautiful. We were seated in the main ballroom which was gorgeous. Our waiter was really friendly and again we never felt rushed at all. I ordered the steak, DH ordered the slow roasted pork and DD had mac and cheese. DH loved his pork! I really liked my steak, had great flavor but the best part of this meal was the dessert-cupcakes!!! DD and I both ordered the triple chocolate and DH ordered the strawberry cheesecake. OMG seriously these were amazing! So moist! I would kill for one right now! After dinner we got to meet the Beast, had our pictures taken and were on our way to ride some more rides. This was our last day in the park and I really wanted to find the Cinderella popcorn holder for DD. I finally found one being sold right by Thunder Mountain. Picked up one of those of course filled with popcorn for DD and we settled in to watch Celebrate the Magic and Wishes.

We had such a wonderful trip, ate a lot, saw a lot, and rode a lot, but most importantly we made memories we will all cherish for a lifetime. This was our second time taking DD to Disney, DH and I have both been many many times before and I cant wait for our next adventure at our happy place!

Thank you for your report. I was planning on eating at some of the same places during my upcoming vacation!

Thanks! You guys sure did love LeFrou's Brew, huh? :D It IS tasty.

lol yep!!! After reading some mixed reviews I went in thinking we wouldnt really care for it but I still wanted to try it, and I was pleasantly surprised. My hubby is on a mission to make these at home. We will see how it goes. Im now scanning Pinterest searching for the right recipe :drinking1

Oh I totally forgot to mention two more yummy treats we had---a cupcake cup from Cheshire Cafe. It was the white chocolate cupcake cup. I normally am not a fan of white chocolate but this was soooo good! I had a hard time deciding between that or the regular vanilla cupcake and once I chose the CM gave it to me for free!!! He said that as long as I came back and told him how it was, it was mine for free!
And then one day we had the Nutella Waffle Sandwich. First of all I love Nutella. It could be spread on a piece of cardboard and I would eat it so I knew this snack would be something I would completely love and it lived up to all of my expectations. DH and I split it while DD napped in the stroller (the one and only nap she took the entire trip). The waffle itself was warm and had a generous amount of nutella spread all over it, then piled on top were blueberries, bananas and strawberries. One word--Amazing!!!! I dont think I said a word the entire time we ate it. I normally am a very healthy eater, so all these snacks and dinners we had while on vacation were completely out of the ordinary for me but I loved every bite! Now Im curently running all of it off, but it was so worth it!
