Digital Scrapbooking Kits (manly)

I am new to the whole digital scrapbooking world. I have been scrapping traditionally for several years now and recently had a friend at work introduce me to this new and exciting world.

I have been having a blast searching the internet for just the right kits and putting together my digital layouts. I was extremely pleased with one particular layout I recently finished from a trip to the casino DBF had taken me on last year. The picture I used was of the two of us in our hotel room all dressed up for dinner. Therefore, I used a fancy kit with lots of flowers and sparkly designs. When I showed him my finished creation he didn't seem too pleased. He told me it had too many flowers on it (I personally feel there is never a such thing as too many flowers) and suggested that I use a casino theme for the design.

Which leads me to my question...

Are there kits out there that aren't quite so girly? I haven't had much luck in finding any. Examples: casino, fishing, hunting (he is very outdoorsy and I would like to do some personal pages for him), sports, gardening, yardwork, tools, etc. I think you get the point. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There are plenty of themed kits out there for each of those themes. If you go to individual digital scrapbooking stores and then use their search tool using those things you mentioned you should come up with plenty of options.

Thanks beebeeryan for the suggestion. I will continue to search through and see what I can find. I guess I was hoping that there would be a designer that caters more to that style of digi kits. Wish me luck.

I found it by putting fishing in the search box. I know what you mean by too girly though. I have 2 teen boys and so many of the disney digital kits have flowers, fancy buttons, ribbons, etc as elements.

MarieS - that is so perfect. That is what I am looking for. I think more kits like this will make DBF happy. LOL. I am glad to see I am not the only one who has someone in the family that doesn't like all the flowers. Lol. Thanks again.

There are plenty out there, I just am not sure what I can link to directly because I am a digital designer and there has apparently been some trouble on this board in the past with self promotion. I won't link to anything of mine or anyone elses, but will tell you to check out the store Divine Digital...look up the designer Royanna, she has some great kits, even one called Manly Man and several boy themed kits since she's the mom of 2 boys as am I. Also Flergs at Scrabookgraphics has some nice boy'ish kits.

Just for the record I do not sell at either of those stores or have anything to do with those designers, just like their stuff and have bought lots of it in the past.
