"Did Pluto Just Give You A Lap Dance?" 10 days of Naughty & Nice!

Can I be a superhero witch?

Able to shove a broom faster than a speeding bullet up the kazoo of evil doers everywhere!

I am afraid though that SuperWitch sounds very close to another ending that I could get called!:rotfl2:

I would love to see a superwitch smiley face. Put it right in your siggie!

gotta fly. I'm shopping at super walmart tonite. It's a lurkerville thing. I will have to read the update later.

I'm laughing about the above, cause that's almost my name!
I will trade you any day! Beautiful name!
I'm a new reader to your TR, and yes I read the PTR first and did laugh so hard about the water slide story that tears were streaming down my face and it took 10 minutes until I could tell DH why the heck I was laughing. It did occur to me though how easily you could have been seriously injured when that happened, so I'm very glad that it is just a funny story for you now.
I am glad you laughed and I hope he laughed and was not annoyed after you told him!
I was so upset when I read what happened to Baylor. What a blessing it was that he had the presence of mind to jump in that pool. Biggest blessing of the day for sure. He seems to be a very brave, smart kid, and I'm so glad that he is recovering well. I'm also glad that your family is healing too. It sounds like you are a close and loving family, so I'm sure that has helped. You know, when I read someone's TR, I end up feeling like I know them and their families, even if I've never said a word to them, so I really am heartfeltly (made up a word) very glad that Baylor is doing all right, and that you as a family found that camp and have been able to talk through what happened.
Thanks for taking the time for such kind words. I can never tell you how much that means to me.
Now as for your TR, you are a hysterically funny person, and a great storyteller, so I can't wait to hear more as you are able to write it. I'm along for the ride.
I try to make everyone read enjoy their time.
Oh I almost forgot! Congrats on your upcoming marriage! :flower3:
:cool1:

I am off to find one!

Let me know when you did.

After re-reading the last installment I had to re-do some of it and make it more me. Sorry it originally lost some funny in the 98th draft.

Good Morning all -
I finally made it to the MN state fair last night and I have a few pics to share but for those food porn lovers - it is nirvana.

It is the countries 2nd largest next to Texas - 12 days long and I cannot explain the amount of food on a stick and fried. The amount of people there and vendors is insane.

Examples of things on a stick and deep fried:

Spaghetti, hot dish, Scottish eggs, alligator, chocolate covered Belgian waffles, pronto pups, corn dogs, (pronto pups have wheat batter) Twinkies, Oreos, snickers, kabobs of fruit, kabobs of veggies, kabobs of any meat you want including elk, buffalo, venison, and the list goes on.

Then you have the other plain deep fried, not on a stick and fattening choices of:
spam nuggets, cheese curds, French fries, ravioli, mini doughnuts, green tomatoes, and the winner of last night:

GREEN PEPPER RINGS! OMGoodness this is amazing and the best thing I have ever eaten at the fair.

It is just plain green pepper rings dredged in a basic batter and fried - dip it in a bit o ranch and you are in glorious bliss. :littleangel:

Baylor said they were amazing as well. Seriously - If you have a deep fryer - you need to try this. They are sweeter than the raw form - like an onion when it gets cooked a bit.

Baylor loved them and so did Dan. For Dan and I it was hand's down the best ever.

Baylor still has a favorite of Sweet Martha's Cookies. They are chocolate chip cookies that fit in the cup of your hand - medium size - and the lady is sure genius. There is a line a mile long for these and she has 2 stands now there at the fair to try and keep up.

The funniest is watching people with a sherbert size bucket  of overflowing, hot from the oven, golden brown with smatterings of chocolate buttons melting through cookie that they just paid $14 dollars for - beating it across the grounds to the milk booth.

Because they have all you can drink milk for a $1!:drinking1

That's right - fresh, cold, frothy milk piping through lines to deposit either white or chocolate to your cup. And you can go back as often as you want for refills. FREE. Best deal at the fair by far! :worship:

Dan has to work the fair for his company and we have a friend who is a police officer for St. Paul and since he works it, gets free tickets - so it was free to get in. They have free buses and parking at park and rides (like the magical express but without the magical) from many places in the city to get you there versus paying $11 on up to aprk by it and it was also good walking for 5 hours to walk off some of that food you did decide to share. :cool1:
So all in all a good way to spend the day.

Dan and I are going back today - if you all want I will take my camera and shoot a bunch of pics of the funnier stands and people and food. It is not Disney but it is great for food connoisseurs and people watchers. :cool2:

Like the girl, a size 16 but wearing a size 6 mechanics looking, skin tight one piece, purple, suit that ended in shorts not full pants. Zipper included. With 6" wedge platform sandals. :scared1:

"Excuse me Ma'm but the Vikings called and they want their squeegee uniform back for Emmanuel Lewis." :rotfl2:

If you are interested let me know - I will post and make my usual smart mouth comments and dole out unwanted advice. Like Siskel and Ebert - or was it Siskel and Ropert? How bout Pert and Sis? Maybe it was Ernie and Bert? :confused3

And I will watch and replay people’s reactions to their food. Like Paula Dean on speed. Julio Iglesias to all the food I have loved before. :lovestruc

Do they share nicely their ridiculously overpriced morsels of temptation or do they elbow their snot nosed kid in the kidney and drop a shoulder and guard their pressed cardboard coveted trophy as they disappear in the sea of chubbies?:rolleyes1

So what do you think? Interested or "fohget aboouut et?"

(Read in my head and okay out loud quietly since my cat would freak out and cr@p itself as it sits here staring at me - in my best Godfather voice. Or what I assume would be a Godfather voice if I had ever met one and lived to tell the tale. Which I have not, so I am taking some creative license here people.:3dglasses)

Here is a few pics of the fair crowds. It gives the MK rope drop a run for its money on stampede:

Is it wrong I was imagining it was Simon LeBon cracking the whip at me in his sexy accent vs a womans English lilt? :lmao:

Whatever helps get another chapter of the TR wrote! :lmao:

I vote yes, I love to look at pictures! :upsidedow

Growing up in Ohio & Texas we always went to the fair. :goodvibes Although my mother never let us eat all that fried goodness. Pickles are my favourite.

Pictures are always good. :thumbsup2

Wow, that is one big fair! I just want to know how in the world you get spaghetti on a stick???? You just made me crave a big ole greasy corndog. Slurp, yum!

Definitely share the food porn!

Dawn, I just found your TR today. Like everyone else, I have been laughing and crying all day! Just like a GREAT MOVIE!

We just had our Iowa State Fair - so much fun!!! It is the closest thing to Disney for me also. My husband makes fun of me becuase there are two things that get me really excited- Disney and the Iowa State Fair - both of which he hates - go figure!!! :confused3

I am looking forward to hearing more about your trip. You are a wonderful writer! I wish I had your talent.

Good Morning all -
I finally made it to the MN state fair last night and I have a few pics to share but for those food porn lovers - it is nirvana.

I usually love going to the State Fair since it's in my city, such awesome food finds. Yeah, they usually find my hips, waist, stomach, etc. :lmao:

Wow, I just found your TR and PTR and had to post before I can't find it again. I need to go back and do some reading but I wanted to say how sorry I was to hear about Baylor's burn. How tramatic for all of you. I hope Baylor is doing better now.

I look forward to reading more very soon!

I love the fact you okay me getting my freak on if it makes me write. Do you want to be my manager?!:lmao: You are one of my all time favorite people!
Growing up in Ohio & Texas we always went to the fair. :goodvibes Although my mother never let us eat all that fried goodness. Yeah I usually am a pretty in control parent when it comes to daily food and not eating out and balanced nutrition - but a few times a year they can splurge and as long as it's not a habit I am good. The kids actually monitor themselves well. Since they do not eat greasy or fried food all the time - their tummies give them signs and they listen to it. Pickles are my favourite. Me too - they have fried pickles here even. :rolleyes1 Getney is home to MN so we get all the new styles before anyone else.:yay:

Wow, that is one big fair! Crazy huge. I just want to know how in the world you get spaghetti on a stick???? Very carefully! You just made me crave a big ole greasy corndog. Slurp, yum! I do prefer them by far to pronto pups.

Definitely share the food porn!
Since Kelly is so kind to enable my desires - I will pass it forward!
Dawn, I just found your TR today. Like everyone else, I have been laughing and crying all day! Just like a GREAT MOVIE!
Seriously. You guys have no idea how much your compliments mean to me as someone who has always dreamed to write professionally. :worship:
We just had our Iowa State Fair - so much fun!!! Hello! Do you know how close Iowa is to Minnesota? I am telling you we should try and get a meet together this fall somewhere. There is so many of us. People could stay at my house or hotels- we could do a Mall Of America day/home spa night -I LOOOVE cooking and it would be my pleasure to make food for everyone....I need to get this into action! It is the closest thing to Disney for me also. My husband makes fun of me becuase there are two things that get me really excited- Disney and the Iowa State Fair - both of which he hates - go figure!!! :confused3So how do you handle him hating your love? That would be hard I bet.

I am looking forward to hearing more about your trip. You are a wonderful writer! I wish I had your talent.
I have a story that I posted the first chapter to here on the boards over 3 years ago - I should find it and let you guys read it. I have it half way done and really want to accomplish that goal of trying at least to get it in others hands. It's more of a romantic book - I also like writing humor so maybe I can craft the next "sex in the city" type. Although I have never seen an episode of it so I can only go by what others have described.
I usually love going to the State Fair since it's in my city, such awesome food finds. Yeah, they usually find my hips, waist, stomach, etc. :lmao:
You are too funny. I am happy to report I am only up 1.5 pounds in 2 days of fair temptation this morning so not too shabby.:woohoo: It should be off by tom. and I will be back on my WW track to looking good for my life and my wedding!
Wow, I just found your TR and PTR and had to post before I can't find it again. I need to go back and do some reading but I wanted to say how sorry I was to hear about Baylor's burn. How tramatic for all of you. I hope Baylor is doing better now.

So glad you are kind enough to respond and caring enough to wish him well. I hope I don't dissapoint you in the future posts!:)

Jo - by the way , I have to ask you. You have posted less than 20 times since 1999 and I am so proud that you chose to post on my thread. Are you on a lot and just like reading or are you not on very often?

I am just overwhelmed and suprised that you noticed mine and I am truly thankful.

But maybe you have been in a coma since 2000 and just came out after the doctors gave you a new breathrough medicine like in "All My Children" and you now are wanting to get reaquainted with your life before your Aunt Erika accidently shot you while aiming at her ex-husband who was cheating on her with your college roomates love child. :confused3

I mean I don't wanna feel all privaleged and proud and such if that were the case. ;)

It could happen. Ya never know.:goodvibes:lmao: I've lived through stranger things.

I read a lot of trip reports, but very seldom do I post! So you're right- yours really caught my attention!!!!

AND DEFINITELY- we should get together! :cool1:

We live close to Des Moines, so I am three hours or less from the Minnesota border! I would love to get together with other people who share my passion for Disney!!!

Plus, my daughter - only child- just left for college two weeks ago. So I'm sure we would have lots to talk about - missing them, trying to let them make it on their own, missing them, trying not to pry into their lives too much, missing them, etc....

And your son is very handsome - and of course, my daughter is very pretty- so we should definitely introduce them to each other. If I knew how to post a picture of her - I would. but I am pretty much computer retarded!:scared1:

I hope you are enjoying your Labor Day! I can't wait to read more of your trip report. If I have time tomorrow - although I have to work some of the day- I am going to try to hop over and read your PTR.

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!

Jo - we are on like donkey kong and Treyner is single so we may as well set a date. How do you feel about Cinderella's castle or should we do a wedding around the world at Epcot? I am open for suggestions from them as long as they let us plan it at Disney. :) I would love to see you soon!

I meant to write today but at approx noon - Ace - Baylor's 8 month old, 90 pound, golden retriever, decided to play in the stream from the hose and my hand was in the way.:scared1:

You see the kids take him in the back yard and spray the hose and he chases the water arc in sheer delight. Well I was trying to water the flowers and plants and had my hand on the end of the hose spraying the water in a fan. He wanted to play - I was not thinking he couldn't wait and voila - he chomped at the water but because of the way I was spraying it -to get to the spray - he grabbed for the spout and thus my hand.

Barely a scratch but Holy Big Ragu did he get my hand. I thought he broke it but X-rays show just a massive sprain on the hand and the forearm/ wrist. It feels like it was in a vice.

The worst part was with our local hospital which subs as a veterinary clinic, Pizza Hut, funeral home and greenhouse - it took 3 hours and 20 minutes to be in and out of the ER. Seriously - as long as you graduated from elementary school - you are compitent enough to work there. Esp. if you did well in music. If you took a lot of extra lessons playing the recorder, you would probably be head of the hospital.

I would have had the story of my demise published before they got to me if I had an emergency.

"Dawn died today waiting to be seen by a local doctor. She choked on a cup of sticky, black tar that was labeled coffee in the waiting room while sitting next to a man whose only emergency was that he mislabled his hemoroid cream with his denture paste and now had itchy lips.

At the time we went to print - it was reported the man, who is asking we keep his identity private, said his lips were healing well after getting manure from the greenhouse as a natural treatment. He also is liking the side effect of being able to swat flies with his new tail."

I love the fact you okay me getting my freak on if it makes me write. Do you want to be my manager?!:lmao: You are one of my all time favorite people!
[/COLOR]

Im so okay with you getting your freak on :cool1: I would make an excellent manager for you! :cool2:
And Ditto Dawn, you are one of my favourite people too

OMG! That is horrible about your hand - I hope it doesn't compromise your writing skills! Because now I am into your PTR and totally enjoying it also!

So about the wedding! I have been telling Kayla since she was 5 years old when we made our first trip to WDW, that she will be getting married there someday! She isn't as crazy about it as I am - but she likes to make me happy - so I think I can get her to agree to it.

She does have a BF right now - but he is 16 and still in high school. That is right, she is a cougar at 19! He is a great kid but I'm thinking she is going to outgrow him sooner or later!

So we can just start planning the wedding and then we will fill them on the details later. ;)

Take care of that hand!

Hi all -
I am typing slowly and hope by tom. I can do a proper post. It is my right hand so it is not a fun time. My fingers look like little fat sausages due to the swelling and someone at a store today asked me, "Did you win the fight or did he?" :lmao:

I told him a 90 pound red headed male won and he looked like he was going to pass out.:rotfl2: When I explained it was my golden retriever - it did not get any better.

Kelly & Jo - I promise th enext chapter will be dedicated to you two!

Jo - I say right after graduation sounds good - what if Treyner goes to Europe for soccer? Does Kayla like to travel? I mean if we have to go over there to keep her company and it means traveling the English countryside and eating fabulous foods - I think I could convince myself it would be the right thing to do! :thumbsup2

How far are you on the PTR? :surfweb: Did you see the drunken Christmas blow-ups yet? :rotfl:

Europe will be fine! She loves to travel! I love to travel! It is all good!

And yes, I saw the drunken Christmas blow up's. Too funny!:rotfl2:

Does Treyner every get to come home? I am so lucky that I get to see Kayla as often as I do, however, it is sad everytime she leaves - like today - to go back.

popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:: Patiently (ahem) waiting for the next part.

(Sorry to read about your hand, hope it is feeling better))))

No - he is 30 hours away and I plan on going to him first weekend of Oct. I am hoping he will come back for Thanksgiving - just depends on soccer. In fact if his team decides to release him (they have 4 Freshman goalies now vying for 2 spots) he may be moving schools over Christmas break. I do not even want to think about it but for us it comes down to money. Treyner and another guy from Colrado are in the top 2 spots and Treyner costs more to keep because of out of state tuition. Who knows what they will decide.

I miss him so much.:lovestruc

It will be today - hand is much better this morning!
(Sorry to read about your hand, hope it is feeling better))))

Baylor has school this morning - making french toast and fruit salad for him right now.

Then Carsyn starts tom.

That is when my normal will restart. I love summer with them though. I always look forward to spending more time with them and hate when they go back.

Everyone - have a fantastic day and I will be uploading the newest segment a bit later!:woohoo:
