Ok long story short(ish) - I check early yesterday morning after getting an email to tell me that 2013 dates had been released (I didn't know until later that they were released THAT DAY - been out of the loop!). We have a floating cruise that needed to be moved, so I started checking months. I started with Jan and got to March where I found the last two cruise in March to be like 1/2 price of all the rest. I then started checking cats and found out that we could get cats 7 & 6 for $799 per pass. 1 & 2 ...additional passages varied. Ended up we paid between $750-$900 pp for this cruise in a VERANDA ROOM.... AND it will be the week of Easter!
Cat 11's were going for $1,600 for two adults! So taking the upgraded room was a no brainer!
The Cast Member I spoke to was just as shocked as I was! She kept saying... what a great price, don't tell anyone. lol She almost made it sound like it could have been a mistake. Anyway, like an hour or so later I jumped on the site again to price out a room for a friend and the same cruise had jumped nearly $2,000.00 since I booked it!
Later when I checked all cat 11's, 10's, 7's, and 6's are sold out. The price for a 5 would be $1799 pp now! To book a cat 9 ocean view it would cost me $1795 MORE than I paid for a cat 6 veranda that morning. YIKES!
Glad we booked when we did. The only time we have stayed in a Veranda room was when DH & I got a free upgrade from Disney while on our Honeymoon. This will be everyone else's 1st veranda room. Plus with Dreams Unlimited, we should get an extra $200 OBC - making the gold rooms (Mom's and Mine) $475 in OBC total!!! Amazing! So excited!

dummy date onboard in August for entire family to come in July 2013. Saw the ridiculously high rates for July and then quick called my sister to check on spring break. My kids will miss 3 days of school but I am not worried and will happily take the price! It's the rest of the family's first cruise and can't believe the good luck! We are actually paying less for this 7 nighter than for the last minute 3 nighter my DH and I just took 10/6/11!! Wish I had booked back to back or looked at verandahs but we got just the staterooms we asked for and a price I will never complain about!
today. We get to spend my daughter's birthday on the Fantasy.
I though that would never happen because it falls during spring break period. Now, if that could happen for my other children's summer birthdays......
