Thought I would take a shot at organizing a planning thread! Far in advance, but we know our New Year's trip dates now. Still waiting on October for the Halloween party dates to be announced before booking that one. Who else is going in December 2023?

We're booking tonight for December 30-January 5 staying at DLH> We haven't been back to Disneyland since our last NYE trip December 2018. Several WDW trips since but lots of new stuff to figure out for this one! Really excited to get my planner filled in!

We've always gone to WDW (10 trips in 10 years), but now we're thinking about doing a DisneyLand trip. Never been before and debating between September, October and December. Not sure which is best. I haven't studied weather in LA/OC yet, so I don't know if September/October is as hot as Orlando. If it is, then we'll pick December. But just wanting to follow along to see some trip planning ideas. As I said, never been to DL (or west of Colorado for that matter).

Going Nov 28 - Dec 5 with my family, there will be 12 of us total. Our last trip was Oct 2019. Most of my trips have been in October, so excited to go for the Christmas season this time. We'll be doing 3/4 days at Disneyland and then moving up to Burbank and doing 2 days at Universal Studios.

October is incredibly busy at DLR. And September and early October can be very hot (though not humid like Orlando).

ME! Going Dec 7-10 and celebrating my 55th birthday! Splurging and staying at the DLH with a theme park view! Can't wait!

Avoid October at all costs, not because of weather but because it is now the busiest month at DL. September or December will be much more enjoyable.

Yeah....don't go in October. I still haven't posted anything about our October trip last year. Still a bit too traumatic...

Count me in again for the annual girl's trip! We are shaking it up a bit on our regular schedule of a Friday - Tuesday into a Wednesday - Sunday. This year we will be there November 29-Dec 3rd. We went mid-month last year and missed the Candlelight procession so much. we decided to just to it different this year.
We also attended in October, and I will have to admit it wasn't my favorite and I LOVED October previously.

I think they attempted them one year before COVID but they haven't had any since. I'm torn on whether I would like them to bring the parties to DL. We love OBB but I heard the more recent Disneyland After Dark events weren't great (Princess Nite, Sweethearts Nite).

The Christmas parties were 5 nights in 2021. We went to the first and found it quite disappointing, and we love OBB. Probably wouldn’t do again, but they chose not to bring it back last year anyway.
