December 2013 CANCELLED ADR Thread - Read 1st Post

the 180 plus 10 is only if you are staying onsite....if you are, did you book online or phone...either way you should have known... online if you link your reservation (resort) it will show the plus 10 on calendar ...by phone the CM should have told you

I didn't know about it, and this will be our 4th trip since 09. (Always stay on Disney) I have always heard 180, so I didn't even check before then. I calculated my date and waited...and missed out. I had a cm tell me the 3rd day I called to reserve the 180+10 thing. I was reserving one day at a time thinking that I was calling at the earliest possible 180 day mark. I know now; lesson learned...hence why I am subscribed to this thread now. (Fingers crossed)

wow, I am sorry to hear that.... sounds like the CMs dropped the ball
we are staying off property this year and I had to do mine one day at a time...thankfully I was able to get everything I wanted.... keep your eyes peeled here (like 3 or 4 times a day if you can) when you get close to your 45 day mark as there are usually lot's of cancellations in that time frame... good luck

We booked through an agent. We figured they would know all the ins and outs. We now know for next time. I'm on Disney's website a couple times a day. This thread will hopefully help out.

I will be cancelling a CRT lunch for 1:30pm on December 6 later tonight.

for everyone freaking out about reservations: as it gets closer to the date you want, they start to open up. i always get everything i want this way, usually multiple times over. we also walked up to BOG last year. we always go the week of christmas and the following week, so it's always crowded. there is hope!

I have totally revamped our vacation. We have been working extra hard and saving $67 each week since January for this trip, so we decided to splurge. We have added in 2 days and plane tickets. Before, we always drove 13 hrs, rented cheap a hotel right outside the park, slept and woke up for our 1st day at the park. Same thing on the way home. Park all day, drive right outside and rent a cheap hotel, get up in the morning and drive 13 hrs back home. This will be the 1st time flying for my children and myself so we are super excited! It will also be the 1st time in a Moderate resort. We usually stay at the All Star Music family suite.
We do base tickets, so we have to know which park we will be in before booking dinner. With that said....I have 5 reservations that I will be canceling since we will be in diff parks on diff days now. If you are interested in any of them pm me. I would like to cancel all of them before Friday. I am a bit new to posting here, but I'm trying to figure out everything. Hope I can help someone out.

Sorry no advanced notice, but just cancelled BOG Friday, Dec 13 4:55 PM party of 2. Made my Candlelight Package reservation instead.

Just checked to see if Dec 8 or 9 had BOG openings from someone cancelling after booking a Candlelight Proc Pkg, but no such luck. Too bad. That would have been magical! Will keep trying and hoping. Btw, looked and the BOG reservation for Friday is showing. If that's the one I just cancelled, that release to availability was quick.

I can see it, too!! I won't be there that day, but tried just to see if i could get the site to bring up an open table. It DID! Very inspiring.

I booked a Candlelight Dinner Package and it didn't require me to cancel another dinner reservation I had. So maybe people are going to have to go through and manually cancel dinners that conflict with the Candlelight dinners.

Surprisingly it was still there at 8:40 when I took a chance and called while driving to work. I was able to grab it.

OK, so I just found out that because I don't have tix to the Xmas party (and don't plan on getting them either) I won't be able to keep this reservation ...

From what I've read I think they start escorting people out at 7. What if you walk into the restaurant 15 min early? Would that work?

it won't matter what time you arrive, if your ADR is for 7 or after you will have to have tickets for the party
