Debit card

We are thinking of paying for our hotel (ASMu) with our Royal Bank debit card rather than with a VISA or travellor's cheques. Is this possible. Has anyone used a bank card at a Disney hotel?

I've only used traveller's cheques and credit cards Maxie. If anyone else has any more up to date info, we'd love to hear it!

Used my check card in May at the DTD Hotel Royal Plaza and at the shops of downtown Disney.

We used our bank card (TD) at the ATM in the lobby of POR and we did not have any problems but we did not try to use it for any purchases.

Some of the banks are raising the charge for using your card in the states to 3.00 starting in Sept. Tht is every time you use it, if you dont use the server that your bank states. Your charge card is still the best way to go.

You will be able to withdraw money from a bank machine but not pay for your hotel. There is really no such thing as Interac in the US you can use a Visa check card as a debit card if you have one of those.
