DDP, Refillable Mugs, and Split Stay

We have a trip planned for this December. We will be doing a split stay. We are doing some character meals during the first part of our stay so I was debating getting the DDP since we have two kids under 8. My question is, if we get the mugs for the first part of our stay, will they work for the remainder when we switch hotels? Or do I need to calculate buying another one for hubs (big coffee drinker) during the second part of our stay? The DDP brochure says mug uses expires on your check-out day but I also read they were good for 14 days? Can anyone clarify?

Yes. Mugs are activated for 14 days.
