We have sailed Disney, Princess, NCL, Premier, Carnival and a line that is no longer with us - oh yeah - Premier is gone too. I would rate Carnival and NCL at the low end of the list - we would only sail them if it was right here. We did our first Princess cruise this summer and loved it - the Caribbean Princess was built at the same shipyard as the Magic and Wonder. We are booked for an RCCL cruise for next summer.
If you need cabins for more than 4 - Princess is mostly 2-3 person cabins, with some bigger suites. NCL has gotten the message about family sizes and has the most connecting cabins. We have a Family Suite booked for RCCL next summer.
The reason for using Princess and RCCL over Disney - I refuse to deal with the ongoing airline fiasco - we drove to New York to cruise.
