Date Night...Will this work?

Ok, DH and I going in Dec. We are taking MIL with us for a sitter. She will have a separate room from us. We are going for 6 nights. One night we hope to go to California Grill (2 TS) for a date night, and MIL will stay back with kids. Can we use her TS credit one night for our meal so that it won't be wasted. She won't be going to dinner any other night alone so she will have one extra and we will be paying OOP for some meals since we are using the 2TS for our date night. Is this allowed???

From what I understand, all of your dining credits are on the card for each room
Since she is in a different room, her card would have her credits on it separately.
You might be able to give whatever combination of cards at the table for other meals, etc. to make it work out....also might be one of those, depends on the cast member answers for doing that.

We have a 2 room reservation coming up in a couple weeks and the credits for one room are on one set of cards and the credits for the other room are on the other set of cards.

You would still be short a TS credit as the restaurant is a 2TS credit meal.

If you had your MIL KTTW card you could use 2TS credits from her and use 2TS credits off your own room, but then your MIL is still short a credit. I guess you could pay out of pocket for one of her meals.

You could just use 2 TS credits from your card. Then, when your out with your MIL on another day, she can use her card to buy 2 meals and give you one of them. That will take care of her extra credit and will make up for the one you lost using 2 for CG.

If her room is under your ressie..sure .The credits are all pooled.BUT if she has her own ressie, own room, no you can not.Her credits will be separate on her own KTTW card

If we all go to another restaurant earlier in the week and she gives the server her card to take 2 from and we give them our card to take 1 from...will this be allowed? If so, then this will work out for our date night. We will be 1 TS short still, but we will just pay OOP on another meal to leave the 4 TS for our night.

It will not work if you have separate reservations. If grandma's key card says that her reservation includes one adult on the dining plan, at a one-credit restaurant they will take only one credit from her card. According to Disney policy they shouldn't take two credits from her card to pay for another person's meal who is not on her reservation.
