Since you can get it at 4pm, can you set up fastpasses from 4-7pm? I know you can use the DAS until 7.
I have asked several CM at the rides this question and all of them have said yes there was a manager there one time and he said as long as the ride is operating you can use a DAS for it. He told me it was agents the law for them not to give someone with a disability assess to a ride kind of like telling someone in a wheel chair they can not go on BTMR
I'm following. I used the "chat" on the Disney website a few months ago to ask this questions and the person told me of course I could use the DAS at the party but I probably wouldn't need to because there wouldn't be long lines. Maybe they gave me wrong information.
Since there isn't an equivalent for everyone else (FP) during the party, it isn't against the law. They aren't denying anyone access.
Regardless, you're the only person (aside from maybe one other person who used it for one ride) that has ever reported here in 2 years being able to use the DAS during the party. The old GAC, which had less restrictions, also couldn't be used.
You're experience, while valid, is incredibly rare. As reported by many many people on this forum, the DAS and FP are both not in use during the party. Someone is obviously welcome to ask, but no one should to in with the idea that it will work.
the times I have used it for the party and for extra magical hours the CM at the second check point have all said that they will be with me in a minute while they let the gust in the stand by line go then after maybe two or three minutes they stop the regular line and ask me to scan my MB during the normal very rearly stop at the second check point then you are in line with other guest after this point so it is not front of the line pass. This is exactly what I was going to say as well.
At the few rides such as BTM where there is a different W/C entrance, nothing has changed operationally at the park that would impact this. However without offering FP+ to all guests, allowing a guest to walk through the FP+ line and get on the ride is akin to Front of the Line Pass, which is preferential treatment.
gap2368, our experience has been the same as yours.
