Thanks as usual flaky!!! I am anxious to see if we are still in the test market here on Wednesday so I can see if buying two 99¢ first aid kits count for the extra bucks. Another site wrote to J&J and they said they aren't "trial" size, they are "travel" size.

I read that the trial size kits will work with the deal...but since I am not sure I thought you would let everyone know:lmao:
Just wondering...if your ad starts on Wed...then when does it end?

    And all are welcome!

I will let everyone know right away - our ad ends the same, it's like getting Saturday shopping for 3 extra days. It really is kinda dumb as they've had these 3-day sales through the whole test market thing so I still have to get there early on Sunday if I want any of the "good" stuff.

Thanks for posting early! I guess I will hang onto my J&J coupons to see if they work for the deal....I usually just use them for fillers.

Thanks for always having this up so fast.

Random question, I think my brain is on lock down, when items are BOGO and it says Limit X, does that mean sets. Like if it says Limit 4 and it is BOGO does that mean 8 total item?

Yes, that's the way I interpret it! :thumbsup2 (And you should be able to use two coupons on BOGO even if the second item is free!)

When the sale item doesn't earn extra bucks a "limit 4," it means 4 items and you pay for 2. The limits are per transaction so you could get the "limit" each time you checked out.

Whenever anything earns extra bucks, the word limit means the number of times you can earn that particular extra buck.

CVS does a few different things to see if their sales improve/change, and there's no way of knowing if you are in one unless a store employee tells you and often they don't know they are in one lol!

The one I am in now has to do with the ad being sent in the mail in an ad packet from Red Plum (no coupons, just ads). They took the ad out of the Sunday newspaper to do this. Because the Red Plum mailer arrives on Wednesdays, they start the ad that day even though it is dated like everyone else's ad for Sunday-Saturday. It must cost CVS to have the ad in the Sunday newspaper so they are experimenting with this to see if less people shop there when they don't get the ad.

Another type of test market is when the ad is way different and is usually shorter, had some fantastic sale prices, but only about half the extra buck deals that everyone else gets.

California is in the process of switching Long's drugstore to CVS right now and they have a really wacky ad, but it has some really good free-after-extra-bucks deals to get people in the stores. That's not really a test market, but just thought I'd mention it.

We moved to CA in December from MD and CVS has finally caught up-yeah!! BUT, last couple weeks we did not get the deals you guys got-soft soap is the big one that comes to mind. They are doing the school supply deals but IMHO, it looks like they are short changing CA. The good news is the employees are very nice, even when grumbling about CVS. One check out lady got so excited that I saved $$ and earned ECB-I had to tell her you guys pay no $$ out of pocket.
Thanks for all your hard work-having fun figuring out the deals again. I missed it (and we were actually out of all the toothpaste we moved across country-lol)

I wish I could use my ECBs from the J&J on that AMC Gift Card, boo! I think it would be a good deal for us though, since you always need a drink at the theater! :rotfl2:

Looks much better than this week. I'll have ECB's that I'll need to roll over so the school supplies should work well if either of the CVS's I go to has them in stock.
