Well I guess I'm going for toothpaste. I had a "scare" last week. i was looking for toothpaste to share with a friend. And I could only find 2 tubes!!! I ended up finding 3 more.
I have a .75 coupon exp 10/31 for Colgate that was in an All You mag. And a $1 from the paper expiring 10/23
So money maker! Have to get money maker toothpaste regardless of how much I may or may not have stocked!
Don't see too much else!

Ok guys I want you to tell me how I did this week. We went to CVS yesterday. Im still a newbie so I need advice on how I could have done better. So here are my transactions.

Transaction 1:
I needed all of this stuff:

Total: 10.25 (on this one we were going for this week's sale of spend 15 and get 5 ecb, but i think the 2 sales were overlapping and it wouldnt print our 5, so she said she would give us the past weeks deal of spend 20 and get 10 back, so we actually got 10 ecb now to spend)

I think we got quite a bit of stuff though I would have liked to have paid less oop. Let me know how we could have done our transactions better.

DH and I are doing this together, I get the stuff I want and he runs them to the register and pays while I go on to my next set of stuff. We found that going on Saturday night in our area is nice and quiet and the cashier was really good.

I think that you did pretty good! More patient than me to ring all those transactions separately. I had the $5 Halloween coupon and I hate to say it but my CVS has such a lousy Halloween selection that I couldn't find anything I wanted to spend it on!

We shall see what I get out of the scanner today. I am headed out in a little bit. I need to pick up today's newspaper on the way - should be several coupon inserts. I do go through the weekly coupons to match them up with the ad before I shop. Years ago I didn't do that and nothing would tick me off more than to get home and find out that there were coupons for something I just bought.

I got a scanner couon for $1 of 2 fun size bags of Mars candy. Stack it with the $1off/2 skittles. 2 bags for $3.

The scanner is giving a .99 coupon for candy corn and it's .99 this week so FREEEEE candy corn. Mix with some dry roasted peanuts for a delicious treat!

I also got a $5.00 coupon for two bottles of Tums. They are on sale. Not free, but still a pretty good deal if you use Tums.

The Renuzit's are 0.88 and there is a coupon in today's paper for buy 3 get 3 free so they were a pretty good deal as well.

There are Softsoap coupons from a few weeks ago so if someone actually needs body wash, using two $1 coupons with the BOGO makes if pretty cheap.

I don't know, CVS has got to start stepping things up. Rite Aid is running circles around them! And what is with these darn one day only coupons coming from the scanner for things that aren't even on sale? Bummer

I used the halloween coupon for 2 packs of paper plates.

Just wondering if anyone elses cvs did this. Was there sat. and a sign on the door said : Join us monday for monday madness form 5-8 pm. Most items $1,2 and $3, great stocking stuffers, teacher gifts etc? Hmm, maybe that is why our cvs never has anything in the clearance section, are they holding back???

I have $6 ecb from last weeks candy. Guess I could get more candy or maybe some razors. We shall see.

I finally made it to CVS tonight ~ haven't been there in almost three weeks!! I had $5.98 ECB expiring today so I stopped in to pick up some toothpaste.
Here is what I did..
$5.98 Colgate Total (2 packages)
3.00 for 2-8 packs Fun Size M&Ms (my DD11 noticed that they would work with the coupon)
.99 Brach's candy corn
-1.00 Total coupon from newspaper
-1.00 Total coupon from scanner
-0.99 Candy corn coupon from scanner
-1.00 2 Fun Size M&M coupon from scanner
-0.99 ECB
-4.99 ECB
=.46 including tax plus earned $5.98 ECB
Not too bad for a quick trip plus the kids were happy that I bought candy.

The CVS nearest me will take any CVS coupon (or Extra Buck) no matter what the expiration date. I use the day only coupons all the time--at a later date. Not all the CVS' in my area will do that though, but you should check with yours and see what they say.
