I just found out that I have to add an extra person to 2 lunches and 1 dinner during our trip. One of my wife's coworkers sisters (sounds like the start of a bad story) is going to be joining us for 1 park day and the day after the Wine & Dine half which we have a non-park day scheduled. I have two basic questions.

1. If I call and add her tomorrow could it possibly mean we have to change our reservation times for when we plan on going to said restaurants?

2. If she just went with us to the restaurants would they not add her to the existing reservation right then or would she be denied because she was not on the original reservation?

I only ask because there are 4 of us without the sister and it's only three restaurants that she will be coming to. We plan on going to Raglan Road for lunch on 11-10-2013, Sanaa for lunch on 11-12-2013 and dinner at Teppan Edo on 11-12-2013. Those are the three reservations that I would have to add her.

You will have to call and add her. If they have room they can just modify the current ADR and keep your time. I don't think your lunches will be a problem. Teppan Edo might be a problem as they fill the tables with 8. That one you may have to cancel and take a new time if available.
While there is a chance you could just show up with an extra person, it is a risk. They could not allow the extra person or you may have to wait longer for a table since you will need a larger table for 5.
The easiest IMO is to call and adjust now. Then it's done and you don't have to sweat it.

I would take Jennylyn's advice and call today. However - if they can't accomodate you - don't change your ADR or drop your ADR. Just call back another day and try again. If you can't get your ADR accomodated - ask at check in to your resort. If you still can't - try the day of. Keep trying. Really. I had to change a BOG ADR from 7 people to 9 people and was finally able to do it the day of the ADR.

If Raglan Road gives you a problem try OpenTable and make a reservation through that site. I was not able to change an ADR but was able to get a new reservation through OpenTable and then cancelled my ADR.

I concur that you'll probably be able to add her to your reservations, with Teppan Edo being the most difficult. I would call as soon as you can because it's easier to remove someone (especially when you get to the restaurant) opposed to adding someone.

In terms of Raglan Road, if Disney won't let you modify the ADR. I'd try contacting Raglan Road directly. I've been able to make a reservation directly with the restaurant in the past.

Thanks for the responses. I had no problems adding her to any of the reservations when I called WDW dining. We (my wife the rest of the girls) talked about it before changing the reservations and decided to drop Teppan Edo and pick up Chefs de France. We have a hibachi place here in town so it was easy to change without anyone being too disappointed.

We actually flipped a quarter between Teppan Edo and Chefs de France a few months ago when we first made the reservations and it just so happens Teppan Edo won. Haha.

Thanks again for the responses though. They very helpful.

Glad to hear it was resolved.

We had to do something similar in 2008 when my mom and niece tagged along for a trip. We were able to change all of them except LeCellier.

Can you really book lunch at Sanaa? I thought you had to book with an animal specialist? I hope this is true because I hope to eat there In may and prefer lunch. I am glad your ADRs worked out:)

As stated by a PP. You can book lunch at Sanaa. I booked ours on the Disney website. Just did a search for what we available for lunch and it popped up. One of my wife's friends that is going with us this trip volunteers at the local zoo helping train the animals and her favorite park is AK. She loves the otters and the last time we went (Sept 2012) they were actually showing how they trained the otters to do things. She had a very lengthy talk with the CM about how she works with the otters at the zoo here. They exchanged some ideas which I thought was pretty cool. With that said Sanaa was her choice when we were picking lunches/dinners so that she could see the animals while we eat. She is hoping we get a window table but will be happy just to be there.
