Good question. Maybe Morgan was just trying to let Reid feel "normal" for once. I always get a big brother/little brother vibe between the two.

I'd say 2 and 3 are definitely related. Maybe 1 too, but I'm not sure yet. I know there's supposed to be a season-long unsub this year so I think that's definitely what's going on here.

They might have mentioned it before. But, I know Joe Mantegna really supports the military. He was co-host for a Veteran's Day special on Sunday or Monday. Plus, he usually hosts a Memorial Day show in D.C. So, they probably added that into his character, the way they added that Rossi had someone in his family with autism, and Joe's real life daughter really does have it.
