Ok, so on with my dining reviews (sorry I was neglecting it trying to start my Trip Report). We were on the Dining plan.
On our first day 8/24/07 we arrived , checked in and head to the Pepper Market.
I had the steak fajita (I love their fajitas) but the chicken I think would have been a better choice. I was my first time ordering the steak version and the steak was tough and hard to eat in a fajita. Overall though it was still enjoyable and I split it easily with DH (He ate 2, I ate 1 and then ate the rest without the wrap).
My son had the kids cheese pizza with cookie, orange slice and drink. He ate every bite of his pizza.
DStepD had the chinese plate special. She didn't like her chicken at ALL. She also complained the the sauce they put on the noodles tasted funny. I tried it and it was just "ok" but I guess not what she is used to from home.
That evening we had ADR's @ Chef Mickey's.
I don't have any photos here except a few desserts but we all enjoyed our meals. I really like salmon here and the salad choices are pretty average but still tasty.
8/25/07
Day 2 we skipped breakfast and hung by the pool. Early lunch @ the Pepper Market before heading to the Studios.
Lunch was pasta for both Ashley and I . I got the penne with mushroom sauce and she got penne with marinara. Both with breadsticks. Dessert I got Chocolate croissant and Ashley got a cookie. Those cookies are HUGE. We both liked our pasta but tried not to overeat as we had Mama Melrose that night and were afraid we'd end up ordering pasta again.
TC got the rib eye steak and he enjoyed it as usual (he ate it a few times our last trip). Trae got the kids pizza...AGAIN lol

Both kids had pretzel rods dipped in chocolate and then in Oreo cookie. They REALLY liked these as a midday snack---great use of a snack credit as you get 3 rods
MAMA Melrose
We decided to try this on the F! package and though it was just "ok" I think I may try it again in the future. Our waitress was great and very attentive.

App: Artisan Bread Didn't like. I thought the bread tasted stale and I wasn't fond of the dips.
Meal: Chicken Flatbread LOVED this.
Dessert: Tiramisu pretty good...Kind of a dry tiramisu---not what I am used to.

App: Calamari We all picked at this and it was very good.
Meal: Sirlion TASTED LIKE PLASTIC! It was almost inedible. TC actually forced himself to eat it and didn't complain---how he did I have no clue.
Dessert: Tiramisu AND Espresso (she let him get both on the
DDP) Spoiled boy..he loved having both of these

App: Mozzarella and Tomato Pretty average..I love tomato and mozzarella.
Meal: Spaghetti Diavolo She picked at it and said it was ok, but wasn't what she expected. She wanted more heat to the "spicy sauce".
Dessert: Chocolate gelato. Ate a few bites but said it tasted like regular chocolate ice cream.

hmmm..can't find what he got for dessert---Ice cream I think? (I didn't note as much of his stuff as he was pretty consistant with the same meals)
Trae spilled his chocolate milk all over the table and within seconds 2 waiters were helping us clean it.
and looking forward to hearing + seeing more....
