I was getting ready to make my annual reservation for 2021 to run at marathon weekend when I noticed the room was going to cost me significantly more points than normal. So I started looking at the charts and wondered what was going on. This then lead to a breakdown of a lot of data/numbers to find out what exactly was going on.
A couple of points of note here: 2020 has 1 extra day in it (which will not really matter). All point totals are based on the assumption that the resort is maxed out and all studios/1 bedroom are rented instead of the lock off 2 bedroom. Do with this data what you will.
Total number of rooms:
Points required to fill all the rooms
This was calculated counting each of the days in each season multiplied by the points required for that room for that season multiplied by the number of rooms. Basically all rooms except a 2 bedroom went down in cost over the course of the year. 2 Bedrooms are the only ones that saw an increase in points from 2020 to 2021.
