I've been too busy to indulge myself in a lot of Disney food watching lately. I'm so glad you and your live reporters are still working hard, Barb!

Charlie's Solar Flare Milkshake looks so delish.:thumbsup2

There was a change of plans for Becky & Charlie tonight. Instead of heading to the Contemporary Resort to have dinner at The Wave, they headed to a different resort. Let's see if you can guess where they went from the first pic that Becky sent me...

If you guessed that they decided to go to Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge like I did, you would be wrong. :p

No, this is where Becky and Charlie dined tonight...

    Malawi Mango Margarita
A frozen blend of Tequila, Van der Hum Tangerine Liqueur from South Africa, Mango Puree, and freshly squeezed Lime Juice

    Mustard Seed-crusted Scallops
    with a Coconut Cream Sauce

Becky said, "OMG so good! Wish we had twenty of them!" :thumbsup2

Paula & Hunter were at the Grand Floridian tonight having dinner at...

    Citricos

Paula's first text said, "We have the Chef at Citricos doing a tasting menu for us so unsure what we will be receiving."

Tomato and fresh Mozzarella Amuse Bouche

    Charcuterie Plate

    Cioppino with Langoustine

This is not on the menu, as it was made special for Paula. She described it as steamed clams, mussels, escargot, and the langoustine in a tomato saffron broth.

Oh my! Becky's Sanaa dinner looks amazing - especially the scallops! mmmmm!

It looks like Paula has something going on with the snails! :snail: :dancer: Ooops! My dancer dude accidently stepped on your dinner! :rotfl2: I have to say that the Belgian waffle with cherry compote looked wonderful!

And who doesn't love some Crystal Palace? Thanks Stephanie for sharing your dinner with us. :)

Since I seem to have no trip reminders to announce this morning, I decided that...

    :cheer2: It's recruitment time again!!! :cheer2:

First I would like to thank all of you who volunteered last week after my plea for help. :thanks:

Although we now have good coverage for the next 3 weeks, from now through Nov. 12 (except for the last few days of October, when we could use one more reporter), we still need more people to do live updates for the remainder of the month of November. However, if your trip does fall in the next three weeks and you want to get in on the live food porn fun then I would not turn down your offer...'cause there is always room for one more. ;) And I'm also still recruiting for the entire month of December.

So anyway, if you are going to Disney World in November or December, please consider joining our Live Reporting Team! :flower3: Hopefully it would be both easy and fun, as all you have to do is snap a few pics with your cell phone and either text or email them to me at your convenience. Or I've also had reporters take pics with their regular cameras and email them to me whenever they have some downtime back at their resorts. So whatever works best for you, works fine for me! :thumbsup2 And of course, there are no rules regarding your updates. They can be a single picture and short description or full dining reviews of your meals. You can send frequent updates throughout the day, save them up and send several when you have the time, or just send a few periodically during your trip whenever the mood strikes you! ;) Whatever you send our way would be greatly appreciated! :goodvibes

Paula did some investigative reporting for us this morning at the Wilderness Lodge's...

    Roaring Forks

Thanks to Paula, we can now debunk the rumor which I believe was reported recently on the Disney Food Blog (a normally reliable website for Disney World food information).
It was reported that Roaring Forks would no longer be serving the various kinds of Mickey waffles. :sad2: (see my edit at bottom)

Well, here is the picture of the Roaring Forks sign that Paula took for us this morning...

And another breakfast menu pic, just in case Mickey waffles aren't your thing... ;)

And as further evidence of the falseness of this rumor, Paula is currently enjoying this plate of deliciousness...

    Bananas Foster Waffles
Mickey Waffles with warm Bananas in a Buttered Rum-Flavored Sauce

So thanks Paula for your excellent investigative reporting work! :thumbsup2
Oh, and enjoy those Mickey waffles...they look heavenly! :cloud9:

ETA: I just went to the Disney Food Blog website to find the link to where they announced in August that the Mickey waffles were no longer going to be offered at Roaring Forks. The article now specifies that only the "Wilderness waffles" were not going to be served (now only at Whispering Canyon). I'm fairly certain though that originally they did not specify that the change was for the "Wilderness" variety only. :confused3 Anyway, here is the LINK to their article in case anyone is interested.

That would be great, emmebear! I've added you to the December list! :thumbsup2

And you are on my trip reminder announcement list for tomorrow...just 2 more days! :cool1:

Thanks so much for coming out of "lurkdom" (is that a word??? :confused3) to offer to do live updates for us. And no need to be nervous about it, 'cause whatever you are able to send our way will be just fine and much appreciated! :thumbsup2 I'll add you to the November list and send you a PM with my info.
