We stayed at Comfort Suites Miami North before our cruise earlier this month, and were very satisfied. We were a group of six and stayed 3 to a room. There were 2 full size beds and a pull out couch in each room. We used the laundry room which was very convenient. The front desk clerks were very helpful and friendly and "Disney-ish" in their cheerfulness. We had mixed results with the airport - hotel transfer. Some members or our party managed to catch it ok. Others went to return a rental car and the shuttle passed them by so they took a cab, but it was not expensive, maybe $15, so no biggie. The shuttle to the cruise was easy. You have to sign up for it when you check in and they limit each shuttle to 30 something people (the mini-bus pulls a cargo trailer). They dropped cruisers at one other stop before the
DCL stop. It was fast and well organized. The breakfast was good, a decent range of choices, cold and hot cereal, waffles, eggs and sausage, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, juice, hot chocolate, peanut butter, jam, butter, toast etc. There was a bit of fresh fruit - apples and bananas. Don't wait until the tail end of the buffet hours, some of the items started to run out. You can use your room card to eat out by the pool. The pool was chilly but nice. There was some noise from airplanes above - it really is an airport hotel! There was a good "sports bar" with a decent food menu, and an IHOP, within walking distance. No real shopping. Easy access to stuff if you have a car available. Overall we were very pleased! If you are driving there or take a taxi, make sure that you specify Comfort Suites NORTH. There is another Comfort Suites a few blocks down, and it is a bit confusing.
