Codes? Someone please explain!

My fiance and I have booked our 10 day honeymoon at the WL under the Dream Maker Gold Plan and have been actively researching Disney through various resources. We consistently are encountering references to "Codes" but can't seem to figure out where to find them and whether or not they would apply to our Gold Plan. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

If you give a code that is usually 3 letters it will apply a discount to the price, could be 20,30,40 and even 50% off the rack rates! Instead of you paying the rate of say $300 per night it could be as low as $125 per night.

Codes generally applt to room only rates.At certain times Disney has codes for discounts.They are not advertised and you must know where to find them.When they are available it is generally cheaper to book the room only and add the extras(tickets etc.)yourself.Follow this link to Mousesavers it is the best place to find the codes and ways to save on everything and has lots of useful information.Another way is to book your trip through Dreams Unlimited.They automatically check periodically if there is a way to save you money after you book through them and they have the same rates as Disney.
