Closest Disney Hotel to WBC

We have four generations going to Disney. We've rented two cars. We have an early crew that will probably make rope drop and a late crew that will probably sleep in each morning. Our concern is returning back to the resort. We're pretty sure the young adults will want to close the parks down each evening but both cars would have left earlier - grandparents will take one car back mid afternoon and parents w/ young kids will go back early evening.

I was wondering which Disney hotel was close by so the young adults could grab a bus ride to that resort and we could pick them up there instead of going all the way back to a park to pick them up.

I've looked at a map and lets just say I'm directionally challenged. :rotfl2:

O, and I am aware of the $5 round trip fee at WBC. The young adults reply when I told them about it, can we walk back? They would have to pay the $5 so you know they don't want to do that. Spend their own money to ride a bus!?!?! :lmao:

So I'm just looking for other options for them. We might make the grandparents ride the WBC shuttle to and from the parks. That way they won't get lost. LOL!

It is not safe to walk from any Disney resort to WBC. There are no sidewalks on Buena Vista Drive.

The closest Disney resort is the Caribbean Beach, which is next door. Also fairly close are the Boardwalk resort and Downtown Disney. They could get a cab from there if needed.

you can't walk directly from the CBR to WBC - there is water and I think a fence - so they would have to walk along the road - not a good plan.

this road has a speed limit of 45 mph - so you know some people are going faster.

you will have to pick them up or they paid the $5 - not sure they can at the bus stop. think they would need to buy the tickets before hand.

it is $5 for a round trip.

If you don't want to pick them up - it might be easier to just stay at WDW hotels - your choice more expensive - or you go get them. Can any of them drive?

I know they can't walk. The point I was trying to make is they didn't want to spend $5 of their own money to catch the shuttle. So being they didn't want to spend thier money their reply to me was can we walk. Anybody w/ college aged kids probably understand where I'm coming from about them spending their own money.

Thanks for letting me know the Carribbean beach or the Boardwalk is the closest Disney hotels. Appreciate it.

Pop century is fairly close too - but CBR is your best choice for close to WBC.

Both Port Orleans resorts are along Bonnet Creek Parkway, which is the road where you will exit Bonnet Creek to get to Disney property. Those seem like the easiest. Cross Buena Vista Drive, then turn right into a Port Orleans parking lot.

They can't take a bus to Downtown Disney directly from any park.

Old Key West is also close, but a little more driving.

You'll have to go through a guard station at every resort, so be prepared with a photo ID.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek is strangely enough not on Bonnet Creek Parkway, it is on Chelonia Parkway.

Chelonia Parkway ends/begins at Buena Vista Drive, just a couple of hundred feet from the entrance to the Caribbean Beach.

Thanks Sharadoc and Upatnoon for the details. Love it!!!
