8/10/10 This swap is officially CLOSED as our fridge has gone missing.
UPDATE: 6/13/10 The swap currently includes a 4 cup coffee maker w/ a reusable cone filter.
WELCOME to the "Saved a Sinking All Star Fridge Swap!!" If you see your dates, or even part of your dates available, and would like to join please PM or email me your reservation first/last name, resort name, check-in and out dates, email address and cell phone number if available during your stay. The founding members of this swap paid for the fridge and it is now FREE to future swappers. The home resort is the MUSIC but anyone staying at the Sports or Movies is welcome to join but you must be willing to pick up and return the fridge in person to the MUSIC bell/luggage desk.

*The home resort for this swap is the All Star MUSIC due to it's central location.
The fridge is a dorm size with a small freezer compartment (please defrost freezer the night before you swap). We try to keep the following with the fridge:
Note cards
permanent marker
clear packing tape
disinfectant wipes
PLEASE post when you return and let me know how the supplies are holding up so that I can let the upcoming swappers know.
Please DO NOT leave ANY perishable items in the fridge for the next swapper!
Unless you make specific arrangements with the swapper before and/or after you, it is YOUR (borrow a luggage cart if need be!) responsibility to return the fridge to the MUSIC bell desk (not the registration desk). NEVER leave the fridge in your room at the end of your stay as it will end up in Mousekeeping inventory or the mousekeeper will assume it was left behind (even when labeled for the next swapper) and will take it home!! DO NOT call for the fridge to be picked up from your room by bell services unless you PLAN TO WALK with the castmember and escort the fridge to the bell desk and get a claim ticket!!!
Always clearly/securely label the fridge with the next swappers information even if swapping in person. The info should include first/last name of reservation, check-in date, Resort name and cell phone number if available. PLEASE DEFROST AND DRY OUT THE FREEZER/FRIDGE the day before if you are putting it in storage. No one wants to get a moldy/stinky fridge!
*NEVER tip the fridge over or lay it down as it will RUIN the compressor = won't work!!
*The success of this swap depends on each one of us doing our part to keep it running smoothly. If you are arriving in less than 2 weeks and don't know who you are swapping to/from, contact me immediately. Please take this swap seriously as others are depending on being able to use the fridge during their stay.
* I can not and will not be responsible for lost/stolen/damaged fridge. We hope for honest, responsible swappers but I can not guarentee it. I run this swap out of the kindness of my heart and spend a great amount of time organzing it but I can not control others actions.
* If you need to get the fridge from the MUSIC resort to the Sports or Movies and do not have a car, you can borrow a rolling luggage cart to transport the fridge. All 3 of the All Star Resorts are linked with sidewalks/streets for easy navigating.
* When asking for the fridge at the bell desk, be persistent if they "can't" find it. Describe it (I will provide the description to each swapper privately) and tell the castmember when it was left for you and by whom. Don't panic if it's not there as occasionally it will magically appear in your room without asking for it. You also have the right to LOOK for yourself in the storage room if you feel the CM is not looking sufficiently.
*Communication is the key to a successful swap. Please don't wait until you have been home for 2 weeks to let me know that you couldn't find the fridge. Time is precious and the longer it is missing the harder it will be to find.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO $TIP$ THE CASTMEMBER(S) ANY TIME THAT THEY ASSIST YOU IN PICKING UP OR DROPPING OFF THE FRIDGE!!THEY ARE DOING US A HUGE FAVOR BY PUTTING UP WITH THE SWAPS!
