Good luck with your room requests and I hope they come through.

Also another reason for Club Level guests not to use online check-in is that you will be given the Blue KTTW cards and not the Gold ones, although those could be changed once your up in the lounge.

The last time we stayed Club Level at the Contemporary before going up to their lounge so we could check-in the Cast Member brining us up got our folder from the Contemporary online check-in desk, however we never did the online check-in. To this day I assume someone at the Contemporary must have done that. Anyway the point is we got the Blue KTTW cards and switched them for the Gold ones once we got up there.
You can get the yellow cards at the front desk, too. DD lost hers horseback riding so we went to the front desk of WL and told them what had happened. They took out a blue card at first. When DD saw it she asked if she could have a yellow one instead. The CM said that she forgot we were CL and instead took a yellow blank card from a pile that was next to the blue cards.

Also, in December of '10, we were upgraded at WL to CL. We were checking in at the front desk and the CM gave us yellow cards.

I assume all the resorts have them at the front desk for CL guests who arrive when the CL CMs have gone home for the day?

At least that's good to know if we ever do use online check-in, however it's a 99% chance we won't be doing that.

DHs card didn't work at YC, so the front desk was the one to replace it (with the gold card)

When we checked in at Sugarloaf, our KKTW cards were gold, we did online check-in. But we didn't make it to the door...a CM met us at the curb...literally

Yesterday, I was so excited about the trip that I decided to do online check-in for the first time. I've never done it before because there's really no point when staying CL, but I was curious.

For BWI, the online check-in room preference choices were fixed and you could request only the following:

~BoardWalk View
~Close to lobby
~Pack 'n Play (I think)

I had already put in my reservation a request for no connecting door and a BWV. After reading your post that online check-in wipes out your requests, I emailed the BWI IPO and asked them about this. Terri emailed and said that all of my requests were still in my reservation and had not been overwritten due to online check-in. She also confirmed that while it's true that when staying CL it's not necessary to do online check-in, there are times when the CL CMs are busy and can't process all the guests at the same time. Then the guest has the option of waiting to check-in CL or they can use the online check-in line. This would be useful if the guest wanted their park tix right away, for example.

 Thank you for the reminder about your BWV King photos in your thread. I just posted a link to them at the end of post #2 on the first page:goodvibes

I will definitely tell all those great CMs that I "know" you. I'm going to have to make sure I write down some "real" names since I'm sure they don't know your screen names:confused3

I got all the luggage (at different times) through the Disney Store online. On sale, of course;). See review below...

It's OK if you do, especially since you're not staying CL. But, there's no reason to do it if you don't mind possibly waiting a little longer in the "regular" line. I hope we have great weather for our trip! We're there the exact same dates, only we move to WL after 4 nights at BWI.

YES! DH's cobbler is waiting for him:love:. I'm glad you love the luggage. The plastic ones are new and I have to say, they have a peculiar "plastic" odor. I've tried airing them out, Febreze and Lysol, but they're still a little "vinyly." But, they look cute and I do all the packing so if I can ignore it, DD and DH won't even care:rolleyes:

When I purchased my new hard side Hey's bag it too had a plastic odor to it. Like you I tried various things Fabreeze and dryer sheets but what worked best for me was a bar of newly opened Caress soap. I am thinking any strong scented bar soap that you like might help if left in the bag for a few days :confused3

Where are the BW peeps......KOOK 2 days :cool1::cool1:

shameless bump to get thread back to pg.1.....

I'm here, too. Hi to all the Boardwalk peeps! :goodvibes

WDWKOOK, it won't be long at all until you hear, "Welcome Home!":cheer2: Have a wonderful stay! :cool1:

Hello all!

We are DVC members but this October will be our first vacation staying in an Epcot resort. I am soooo excited about staying at the BWV during the F&W festival too.

It will just be myself, my DH, and my DD(6) for this trip and I was wondering if someone could give me their opinion on where to eat. I think I have most of my ADR's mapped out but I would like to try and at least eat one of our TS meals in one of the nearby resorts (BW, BC or BC). Any suggestions? popcorn::

Since you are staying at BWV I would highly recommend trying the ESPN Club. Now it happens to be my favorite Table Service Restaurant in all of WDW and you won't have far to go. Adding on to the fact that it's located at the Boardwalk you could go for a late meal like at 10:00 PM and be seated right away. That is assuming there is no major sporting event taking place. Whenever I went to eat there it was around that time and never had problems getting a table. Plus they are also open until 1:30 AM and that helps.

We arrived yesterday around 5ish and were met at the door and escorted to the 4th floor. We scored a great room!!!! We'd requested a king (got it!!!) and it's directly opposite the lounge (HOORAY!! Last trip we were relegated to the 3rd floor and it was a hike to the lounge).

CL CM's have been as gracious as ever and I went to the quiet pool for the first time (why have I not done this before??) after visiting EPCOT this morning to take a few photos of the topiaries and floral displays. This evening we're going over to the MK for a few hours.

This is our relaxing, just the 2 of us trip. EPCOT crowds seem medium---Not nearly summer level let alone Christmas week levels. I'm interested to see the MK crowds tonight and tomorrow at DHS.

The only thing I'm bummed about is the week we're coming back in October with DD, DSIL and the grands is not available on the bounce back offer. Here's hoping for a PIN or AP rate!!:wizard:

Thanks for the live trip report.

kathie859-We have had that room on many occasions and it is awesome.:cool1: DH and I love going to the quiet pool. It is very relaxing. The CM are outstanding. Keep up the live trip report when you are able.

CR-After having 2 weeks of Florida type weather I am so ready to head South.

kathie859 So glad to hear you are enjoying your room so much! Any trip report makes me feel closer to our own trip. Can't wait to hear more!

My phone app says we are now 209 days from check-in, so it won't be too long before we're making our ADRs :woohoo: With only 5 brunches and 4 dinners planned, we will have to make some tough decisions.

So, does the ESPN Club serve food after 11pm? Or just drinks? I'm still on the fence about what to do for a late-night snack when we get in. Room service, maybe?

To those of you planning ADRs for next year... :worship: I am secretly thinking about doing a F&G trip next spring, but no one outside the DIS would even understand that, let alone planning where we'll eat.

Their main items are available until 11:30 PM and after that you can only order from their various appetizers. That was according to the Boardwalk information channel when I was there in December 2011 once they listed all the Boardwalk restaurants and specifc information about them, like their hours and etc.

Not sure if that is good or bad for us that the crowd levels don't seem to bad right now. We check in around 12pm on Thursday and will be at EPCOT Friday night. SO EXCITED:banana: The anticipation of staying at the BWI for the first time is killing me (I've only stayed once at the BWV for my anniversary in Nov 2011). I called BWI and requested a courtyard view (since we are standard level). Crossing my fingers we get it and not a parking lot view.

I am here too. So excited for everyone who has a trip coming up soon. When was KOOK leaving? Maybe she has been busy packing.
