Fabulous! I was wondering if you were going to get to San G. Looking forward to it.
Thanks. I liked the square but I don't see that over here.Great update, Scott!
The narrow streets are beautiful, even though the square itself failed to impress me.
Can't wait to see the tour of the vineyard.
Glad you caught up. I would say it is because of the new board being others show up. Hopefully it fixes itself.I was pretty far behind but got caught up now. Love all the pictures! The last couple posts some don't show up buy I assume it is an issue with the new board format.
Your Newest trip sounds great so far, so cool to do a coast to coast trip!
Congrats on how much weight you have lost, that's awesome
yes but it is not for a long amount of time and I spend most of the time in one spot.Fabulous! I was wondering if you were going to get to San G. Looking forward to it.
Thank you. Not sure. We did see lemon trees so I think that was probably it.Another update full of great pictures. I wonder what type of fruit that was growing on the tree in one of your pictures. Lemons?
Thank you.Another great update, Scott. I do love the narrow walkways between the buildings.
Vinny.
That pizza doesn't look very appetizing.
So exicted to hear about your lunch at a vineyard and then hear about San Gimignano.
My next update will not be until Monday. I am going tomorrow to West Virginia till Sunday. I do hope everyone has a wonderful week.
Thanks. It was a good trip and the wedding was lovely. Pictures were just of the wedding and I just posted them on FB. Just family stuff. LOL.Have a great trip, Scott! Don't forget to take photos!![]()
Thanks.Enjoy! Safe travels.![]()
The church was gorgeous. Yes it was. Thanks, it was.wow, what stunning photos from the church. The whole area is just gorgeous.
Have fun on your trip this week!
Yes it was. They did have barriers around the parts of the floor not to walk on.That church was really gorgeous . I loved the ornate details of the outside. The art on the floor was just amazing. Makes you not want to walk on it. They must have had it roped off.
The other details were beautiful as well. Nice pipe organ. Sorry you had such a difficult time finding a potty!![]()
Thanks. Oh yeah that is probably why. LOL. That didn't even dawn on me. My true hair color does show at times. LOL.Great pictures of where they make the win and the vineyards, Scott. If they were milking cows, my guess is they keep them chained up if they just came in until it is time to milk them. Most zoos you will see them chained in their stall if they are not outside roaming.
What a spectacular view from your table at lunch. My mouth just dropped open as it was stunning.
Lunch looks good too.
That sounds right. What a great little vineyard. I would have said what KatMark said about the cows. Must be close on milking time; and I can make out the cow's udder in your picture. Definitely milking time.
Ick for non-flushing restrooms. But when you have to go, you have to go.
The pasta looks delicious!
And that fruit tree is pomegranate.
I should have taken some.I'm guessing pomegranate for the fruit on the tree... Your view at lunch was breath-taking -- just beautiful! I could just sit there looking at that for hours... Much more pretty than the snow and slush we have now....
Definitely pomegranate.
I've toured quite a few wineries in the US and it looks like a similar operation in Italy.
seems like a nice lunch and I'm glad you enjoyed the Chianti.
September we are going to Napa and am looking forward to that.
Any help would be appreciated and also we have 2 nights at DLR where should we eat? LOLLet me know if you would like any recommendations. It been a while since I've been there, but I've visited quite a few times.
It really was amazing.Wow - those pictures of the last church are simply stunning! So much detail on the walls, floors, and ceiling. Truly amazing.
Beautiful pictures of the square as well.
And the vineyard - how lovely. I think the whole process of how wine is made is really interesting, especially the part about the different oak barrels. What a lovely place for lunch. Such a spectacular view, but what's up with the non-functioning BR?![]()
