I'll be in WDW in June. I am going with three 12 and 13 year old girls. I want to do a character meal, but the girls are past the Princesses. Which of these do you suggest? We would be doing it on our MK day.

We prefer Chef Mickey's. My grandson's favorite character meal. I guess it really depends if the kids want Pooh and gang or Mickey and gang. I think the food is better at Chef Mickey's and by having dinner there it doesn't take away park time.

We're doing the CP for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for dinner. I love both of them and couldn't pick.

:D

I have had breakfast at both and I would choose Chef Mickey's. The food was the same, but I'm a Mickey fan and having my picture taken with him as I ate my delicious breakfast pizza was a cool experience.

Wow that's a tough choice. It really depends on who your favorite characters are since they are both great choices!! We had dinner at CM and really enjoyed it although it got kinda chaotic for a few minutes when a LARGE group who didn't get the whole "sit at your table and the characters will come to you" thing. We have had lunch and breakfast at CP--this is one of our favorite MK restaurants.

CP all the way. I've had breakfast and lunch there and both were very good. The food is not the same as at CM. www.allearsnet.com has the menus. The chicken pasta one the lunch buffet is very good. The Breakfast lasagna is amazing. The setting is better too. Service beats Cm's hands down.

CM's on the other hand was horrible. The food was uneatable. Service didn't exist. We were seated in an unstairs sections that the characters kept forgetting to visit. The deserts looked like a bunch kids had been building sandcastles in them. We refused to eat them, and they were never replaced.

Chef Mickey's is great for dinner, but IMHO, only for the dessert selection. I love the rice krispie treats and the cookies, but the food is really not anything to write home about. CP, on the other hand, has fantastic food that is hands down superior to CM. I have read posts where people say there isn't a wide assortment of food and I am always baffled by that. For example, they have wonderful salad choices, a great salmon dish, a terrific pasta with asiago cheese and portabello mushrooms (oh, this is so good!), plus the standard prime rib and then some. If you have to choose one, I say go with CP. If it's about the characters and not the food, then, of course, it's going to have to be your preference. If you want to try both, I say CM for breakfast and CP for lunch or dinner.

CP has a great breakfast, lunch, and dinner! We prefer Chef Mickeys for Breakfast! So, I guess it depends on which meal you would like to eat! Also, girls that age may prefer the Winnie The Pooh characters at CP!:Pinkbounc
