Celebrity sightings at Disneyland?

Well, I'm friends with voice actor Wally Wingert and he went to Disneyland with Bill Farmer on May 4, 2005 for celebrities-only day. Bill is the official current voice of Goofy for all Disney shows/movies. At one point, they spotted a booth selling alcohol. I assume they were in DCA and saw the Karl Strauss booth. Bill pointed and said in Goofy's voice, "Hey, look! BOOZE!" That had Wally cracking up for days. :rotfl2:

My daughter and I were at the parks that day (prior to it closing for the Celeb Only portion). We saw a few famous people but did not talk with anyone.

I saw Fantasia Burrino the day she was there taping the Christmas special.
I saw DickVanDyke at the Candlelight Processional.
I saw and talked to and got a picture taken with George Stults at LAX!!

My friend saw Dr.Luca Kovac from ER there last year over by Splash Mountain :faint:

Not sure who this lady was, but last Wednesday around 10am I was sitting in front of Casey Jr. waiting for the kids, and this important looking lady came walking by, with three Disney bigwigs in suits walking with her, one was even walking in front of her picking up trash with tongs before she could see it, and her assistant was there with a camera. They stopped right in front of me, all I got out of it was that her name was Kim. She never spoke a word. Her assistant did all the talking. She casually walked over to different areas, pointed, and her assistant started taking pictures of what she had pointed at. The suits trailed behind her like lapdogs! Very weird. They strolled around Fantasyland for awhile and then left.

Maybe they were Disney street performers...just like they have at MGM. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Wow, they actually close the park and only let celebs in? How crazy! Is it invitation only or what?

A few years ago I was passing by the Haunted Mansion, when I spotted a small crowd of people near the exit of the Haunted Mansion. I saw Caroline Rhea sitting there, waiting for her niece to come out from the ride.

She was really nice and let me take a photo with her. :sunny:

Yeah The vip tour that clebs get is available to any one willing to pay for a vip tour.

I did this once paid for a 6 tour for my family 13 people in all it was great this was before DCA but not line waiting at all.

However I think you miss alot of the feel of being there doing a tour like this but I had family visting and we only had about 8 hours time to do Disneyland.

I heard (don't recall source) that celebs have to pay like $300 an hour if they want the VIP/tour guide treatment.

I'll stand in line!
WOW can only celebs do that or can ppl (if they're willing to fork out that much) do it also?

You paid $1800 for a DL tour? :scared1: Please tell me that this at least included park tickets!

I don't remeber what I paid. Tickets and tour for 13 I Believe some where around 1500. I know very expensive but I had family that I was not likley to see again soon and they had never been so I splurged. It was worth it to us for that day as time was a issue. However I wouldn't normally do this as I feel it does take way a lot of the feelings I remeber of Disneyland.

To the other poster above yes VIP tours are available to anyone willing to pay but are limited to how how many tours disney gives in a day

VIP tours are not like the others it is more like having a CM escort but you get to decide what you do it also gives you great seats for the parade if you want and great seats for fireworks if you want

Some guy. IDK who he was, but he was being chased and some girl came up yo us all excited and said, "Do you guys know who that guy is?!"

Other than that, just those celebs at the fiftieth presentation :)

I've never recognized any celebs at DL, but I saw Paige Davis (ex-host Trading Spaces) at MGM Studios. She was beside me in a bathroom washing her hands. I said hello to her. When she came out I pointed her out to my Dh. She was with another guy and a CM wearing a dark suit.

That wasn't Dec 03 was it? We saw her at the MK then...and people were going nuts.

BTW, thank you for showing me what these Crocs I hear about are. ;)

I saw Diane Keaton last month near the exit of Splash Mountain. I believe she had two kids with her. A CM was leading them through the exit to the ride. She did not ride herself. She attracted a small crowd, but nobody seemed to want to approach her. I don't think she liked the attention. She was kind of hard to miss, though. She was wearing all black and gloves, and it was a very warm day.

It was Dec 02. Christmas must be her favorite time to visit. :teacher: No one seemed to notice her the day I saw her.

The crocs pic :lmao:

I was standing in front of Blue Bayou when a large crowd suddently gathered outside of a private door to Pirates. It was Michael Jackson exiting from the ride, but I didn't see him. This was about 15 years ago.

they are "regular"...its people who make them into gods or something...i'll never understand...they are the same as you and me and I personally dont think they should be treated any better than you and me...if someone comes to the park then they should have to wait in line just like the rest of us...i really hate how they get treated like royalty.:furious:..ok im done with my tantrum :guilty:

Just to let you know, they have to wait in line like everyone else unless they paid for the privledge to skip it. Last time I checked - it was over $1000.00 a day to take advantage of it. My best friend works in security at the Park and advised me of this when I complained (saw Cindy Crawford and family) and few years back.

and anyone can pay for it you want to fork over the money its about a $ 100 dolars a hour on top of ticket price. 4 hour min

Well, if its only in the $1000 range, no wonder they choose to have this service. $1000 is not the same to celebs as it is to normal, everyday people.

I bet the money is considered well-spent! Can you imagine trying to tour Disneyland yourself, or especially with your children, and people keep stopping to talk to you, take your picture and get your autograph? It would take forever to get from one attraction to the next, and would not be very fun for children to have their parent's attention taken away.

We walked right by Kirstie Alley over by Pirates last month. After she walked by, my husband made a remark about her eating a churro! To her defense, she is much thinner now & looks great. :)
