we are booked on our first disney cruise 2-10

and have a catagory GTY 08c booked

does anyone have any ideas of what deck and where these types of rooms

usually are

Use this link to see the deck plans for the Dream. It will show you which rooms are 8C rooms. (Decks 7 and 8) They are either forward or aft but not midship. We are in one on our Dream cruise also.

Category 8C rooms are oceanview rooms located at the front and back of the ship on both the left and right sides on decks 7 and 8. They have the large portholes that you see when you look at a picture of the ship.

Because you are actually booked in GTY or guaranty status, you don't have an actual room assigned at the moment. However, you are guaranteed to get at least a Cat 8C room or better when they assign the rooms around 40-45 days before your cruise. That means you could end up in 8B, 8A oceanview rooms on decks 5 and 9 or a verandah located anywhere on the ship deck 5 and above.
