Cat 8 or cat 9?

Am trying to decide between a cabin on deck 2 aft or deck 6 forward. Which would you choose? Last cruise I sailed on deck 5 forward and loved the location except for the noise from the Walt Disney Theater. Motion sickness is not a problem for us. Thanks for your input.

I would go with Deck 6. It is closer to almost everything kids clubs, the pools, the spa, and you have the deck 5 buffer from the WDT.

I have not stayed on Deck 2 aft yet (Deck 2 fwd, Deck 5 aft, Deck 7 mid/fwd) but the main complaints I have seen on here with aft staterooms is the engine/thruster noise and I would think Deck 2 aft would be a prime place to have that problem.

If you have not seen these yet you can check out the stateroom reports for those areas here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomlist.cfm

I also tend to get my cabins on Decks 5 to 7 due to locations and proximity to all the stuff. That is why I am staying in a Cat 9 on our next cruise.

We enjoy deck 6 forward. I don't know if you have children but its a quick walk down the forward stairs to the kids club. The same for the WDT. The only drawback is the distance to the pool/soda station area. We are not big soda drinkers so that was no big deal but escorting wet children the length of the ship could be a challenge.

Also, there is largely no foot traffic on the forward decks excluding those staying there. No "lookie loos" or rambling teens, etc. I always felt as if I was moving away from he crowds vice with the crowd.

ENJOY!

I took everyone's advice and switched to cat 8. Any input on room 6510? There were no stateroom reports on this one. It's not a connecting stateroom which is good, but I really want to know if it has a steamer trunk.

You shouldn't have a problem with noise from the theater on deck 6. The deck 5 staterooms should buffer that. ;)

Can't speak for 6510, but we stayed in 6534 and LOVED the location. We had a verandah. Not really sure if I want to pay for one the next time around as we really didn't spend much time on it at all :confused3 but I really really liked deck 6. We were just behind the forward elevators. Not much traffic and pretty quiet too. :thumbsup2

We've stayed in Cat. 9 deck 2 aft twice and loved it so much we booked the same for 09 and 10. It's a few steps to the aft elevators and deck 9 drink station. Also my older son loves Ocean Quest so that's right down the hall.

We were not bothered by noise at all though I've heard that the aft, starboard cabins are right under the galley and get early am noise from crew actively cooking above you. We were in 2118 and 2106 and loved it!!
I wouldn't mind being a bit more midship, deck 2, but those cabins don't hold 4 guests.

We've stayed in 6512 four times. We love the location. Best of all it is quiet, with very limited hall noise. There was never a noise problem from the WDW Theatre. We had the steamer trunk, so I'm sure 6510 has one also. As mentioned it is very convenient to many locations. Have a great time!
