Castaway Cay 5k timing

I would love to try the 5k but I'm uncertain of the timing. What time is the start? What pace do I need to be able to finish - I'm a walker so i'll be lagging behind the runners. And can I fit this in if we're booked in for the catamaran/snorkelling or should I just plan for this if I get another chance for a cruise

From what I have been reading, there isn't a time frame limit. I know other races are strict 16 minutes per mile as a pace. This race isn't timed like that. I think you meet right away after docking. I am not sure if it would interfere with your snorkeling. Search for the castaway cay 5k thread. It was very informative and encouraging!

You meet on the ship at 9am and the race starts about 9:30.
