Now what do I need to do? lol and what is the best way to do it?
Thanks

Hi, I live in Williamsburg, VA. But as far as your trip, now plan you meals and make your ADRs if you haven't already. Then just read these boards and wait until your trip. Congrats on booking CBR, its our favorite!!! We'll be there is less than a month and we've been waiting a year, so we are counting down.

Congrad on booking your trip.

I am a planner and a changer and a should have done that person. So, I can give you some of my OCD tips.

Write out the hours and EMH's of each park for each day. I like to plan a breakfast for around 9:30-10 am on an EMH day. This way we get to enjoy the park before breakfast. And, dinner later than usual so I can play a bit longer at the parks. Then write down on each day what ADR you want. Keep all of your reservation numbers on this paper or put them in your guide book. Make double reservation if you are unsure. But, please make sure to cancel them if you are not going to use it, so other people can use them.

Of course, read this board and look at the map of CBR and other parks. Plan some time to rest, break in your sneakers ahead of time, make out your packing list and then ENJOY!!!!:cheer2:

Does anyone know if the CBR has late check out? if so how much and when is check out time?

Late check-out is at the discretion of the housekeeping departmnt, not the front desk staff. WHEN AVAILABLE, checking-out by 1:00 p.m. (instead of 11:00 a.m.) is free, checking-out by 3:00 p.m. is 50% of the room rate, and after 3:00 p.m. you are charged for a full night.

At the very earliest, you can request this on the night before check-out, but they still might not know and you may well have to wait until that morning to find out if you can do it or not.

May possibly need to change my dates and just became aware that the Nat Dance Team Championship is at WDW 1/30-2/1, and it looks like the All Star Resorts and CBR are the options for housing. Check-in dates range from Wed 1/28 to Tues 2/4. Who has been during this event in the past and do they house the participants in particular sections of the CBR? I'd appreciate any info!

Also, what do you mean the IE screen and authorizing the charge for the day? Do they give me instructions on doing this if I ask when checking in? Thanks again! :goodvibes

Simply plug the cable into your laptop, open whatever browser you normally use (Internet Explorer or Firefox on a PC, Safari or Firefox on a Mac), and go to any web page. When you do this, a screen will pop up with instructions.

Alrighty, thanks! I thought that's what she might mean by IE. :goodvibes

By April all the rooms should be done.

Will all the non-pirate rooms become Nemo rooms? We are going in mid-March and I hope the rehab is completed by then. I wanted to book a preferred location room but only standard and pirate were available.

Yes all the standard rooms and preferred rooms will be Nemo. The pirate rooms are all located in Trinidad South.

I CANT STAND IT ANYMORE!! I AM GOING TO BUSTTTTT!!!:yay: :yay:

20 MORE DAYSSSSSSSSS!!! :cool1:
12 1/2 More WORKING DAYS!!
3 SUNDAYS from now we will be THERE !!! :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:  :cool1:

OK I am done (for now)

Oh thank you!!!! I had been trying all weekend for a standard or preferred room but only pirate was available. DD has autism and I think the pirate rooms might be frightening to her and we really have our hearts set on CBR. Then this morning a standard room became available during DD's spring break so I booked it immediately taking advantage of the buy 4 get 3 free deal. We are so excited!!! :yay:

10 more days for me and I can't wait. just 8 more days of work. I have both kids packed and part of dh is packed. I'll be working on mine tonight.:goodvibes Tomorrow I will be doing the single digit dance:cheer2:

Just got back from 12 days at the CBR and well, we hated it.

Sorry if you love it and it is your favorite resort. We were so looking forward to it, though.

What we liked:

It was quiet like last year.
I liked Shutters.
The bell service desk people were nice as were housekeeping.
The cast members at the shop were very nice as was the service people.

What we disliked:

The new pool area is lit like an airport. Way too bright and no trees. It is great if you like concrete. The new pool is boring and we miss the waterfall. The walkway to the pool is just dumb in how it is set up. The black fence doesn't fit in with the caribbean theme at all. The pool's heater was broken the first 6 days of our trip.

The nemo room. Looks like it was done by a blind person. I hate when my room is so loud the noise from all the colors clashing keeps me up.

The food court food was awful. Don't get the pizza and just eat elsewhere. Yuck and bland.

We were stuck in Aruba. I hate Aruba.

Oh, and someone broke into our room and security was less than stellar.
So yeah, I'm a little soured on Disney vacations for now. They burglars took our camera, a watch, money, an iPod, and a cell phone. Whatever you do, don't leave your room for a minute to watch IllumiNations. (We usually DO USE THE SAFE, but we had just emptied pockets from returning from the MK and stepped outside for a second. And yes, we locked the door.)

We are going in March for the Princess Half Marathon Weekend. I've booked our package through the Disney Sports folks.

Eventhough I would have paid extra for the Preferred location, they did not any available for booking as Disney only "released" standard rooms to them.

I have two rooms booked as there are 4 of us girls going for a "girl's weekend." I asked if I could request connecting rooms and woman told me no, it's only for family. She said she would link the two ressies together to make sure we were close though.

Now...with all that said. Can I call Disney direct to request a specific "standard" building or should I fax? I'm not sure what to do.

I'd like to be close to the main building and also have at least adjoining rooms if not connecting...

Suggestions?

Any suggestions? Thanks!

We were at CBR Nov. 1-8.

DAY 1: We arrived by Magical Express at 12:20p.m. We went to check in and our room was ready.:cool1: I had requested building 44 or 45 in Jamaica and had also let them know that we would be celebrating our boys birthdays while we were there when I made our reservations back in August. I had mailed snacks to CBR ahead of time and they had them waiting for us at the front desk at check-in. They placed us in Jamaica 45 in room 4555. It was perfect. :dance3: We had a water view and the bridge crossing over the island was just outside of our window. We had a bunny towel animal waiting on us in our room.:)

DAY 2: We spent the day in the parks and arrived back to our room about 9:30p.m. to find a spotless room and each of the boys had balloon bouquets and autographed pictures of Mike & Sulley from Monsters Inc. waiting on them. What a surprise!!:wizard:

DAY 3: Another day at the parks to return to 3 new towel animals waiting for us and again the room was very clean.:)

DAY 4: Another day at the parks.... another clean room.:)

DAY 5: Our youngest woke up at 3:00a.m. with a tummy ache. Needlesss to say we were up for about 2 hours with him vomiting:sick: We slept late and had lunch at Le Cellier. This restaurant is a must!! We then decided to go to Animal Kingdom to see Festival of the Lion King. We had only been in the park for a few minutes when we were approached by 2 men. They asked us if we had been in the park very long and we said "no". They wanted to know if we had dinner plans or any other specific plans for the afternoon. We said that we didn't have any plans for the day except for seeing the Festival of the Lion King and taking a trip on the Safari. So, then they asked if we would be watching the parade, we said yes. Then we were asked if we would like V.I.P. seating. We said YES. The men then told us that we were the family of the day chosen to ride with Mickey on his float in the Jungle Jammin' Parade :dance3: After seeing Lion King, we didn't think we would have time to see the Safari so we were going to get a Fastpass for it to ride it after the parade. The Fastpasses were all gone for the day.:sad1: I asked a Safari employee how long it would take to ride it because we had to be at a certain spot at a certain time for the parade. He said it would be about 20 minutes. He checked his watch then personally escorted us down to the Safari truck, he put us directly on the truck and explained to the driver that she had to have us back by a certain time. She got us back on time and when we arrived back from the trip, the parade directers were waiting for us. They gave us our parade clothes and put us up on the float with Mickey!! It was awesome. We had so much fun!!! It is memories that will last a lifetime!!!:cloud9:

DAY 6: We took the day off and went to downtown Disney to DisneyQuest. The boys LOVED it!!!

DAY 7: We went to Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Epcot to ride our favorite rides before we headed home on Saturday morning.

Our room was perfect, the boys LOVED the pool, the resort is beautiful, everything was so quiet it was like we were the only ones in our building.

WE will DEFINITELY be staying at CBR again on our next trip to see Mickey!!!

Wow. That really stinks about the theft, and of course the stuff you dodn't like isn't good, either.

Your comment about the "loudness" of the Nemo room made me laugh. I haven't seen one myself. And I totally agree with your view of the pizza ... actually, I never had the pizza during my latest CBR stay, but I have general disdain for the pizza anywhere in WDW.

If you were the type of person who otherwise would have returned to WDW in the future, I hope this trip didn't totally sour that ... hopefully time will allow you a different perspective.
