can't serch

Why when I try to do a search do I so often get the message:

Sorry. The search function has been disabled by the administrator.

Hey gang...
Search is load limited, it is VERY hard on the server so it turns off when the server get's busy. It will come back on automatically when the server load goes down...

Best times that I've found it works is early in the day (before lunch) and later in the evenings.
